Jennifer Verraneault, former media executive who is dedicated to the advocacy of each child's right to have an active and loving relationship with both parents following a separation or divorce. Ms. Verraneault has organized a group of Connecticut families affected by parental alienation, along with local legislators to change the way in which family court identifies this form of child abuse early in the legal proceedings as well as educating schools and the community of the long term psychological effects of alienation. Ms. Verraneault is currently working with the Connecticut Judicial Committee to amend current laws and introduce new language that will provide family court judges the ability to act swiftly when alienation is identified and to impose sanctions as a deterrent to the parent who is consciously or unconsciously alienating their child. Ms. Verraneault is also a Certified Guardian Ad Litem for the State of Connecticut and has been instrumental, along with her fiancé Jerry Mastrangelo, an alienated father of triplets in having the Connecticut Judicial Committee vote unanimously to form a task force in order to investigate how these cases are being handled in family courts across Connecticut. This task force will present solutions to the committee for early detection and prevention of alienation and if not caught early, treatment necessary for the alienated child and family affected by Parental Alienation.

Continued from last week, in which we had technical difficulty, we will explore why so many advocates have been so angry about the continued presence of the Judge Rotenberg Center.
We will also discuss how and why this place has been allowed to operate in America for over forty years, and how we can make progress moving forward on the civil and human rights front regarding people with disabilities.

We're going to bring you the latest news and updates on the Judge Rotenberg Center.
The JRC, as it is known by advocates, has been a thorn in our nation's side for over four decades. Many have referred to the "treatments" at the center as torture, abuse, and discrimination of people with disabilities, specifically autism.
Women over 40 Rock! At least, that's the thinking behind Over 40 Females, a national networking organization that connects a community of women to increase awareness for the demographic and create a higher standard of pride and confidence for the generations of Over 40 Females to come.
This week, Catherine Johns and Michele Rempel will get the buzz from Shannon Bednowicz, director of the Over 40 Females Chicago chapter. She'll also share her experiences as the owner of Wine, Women and Wax for over 7 years (we're guessing maybe one of them as a woman over 40!).
Listen live or listen later!
Jill Egizii and Judge Michele Lowrance will be talking with Martin Spinelli author of 'After the Crash' on Wed, May 22 at 12:00PM CST.
In Sept. 2006, Martin Spinelli's life was transformed when a trucker who fell asleep at the wheel killed his wife and nearly killed his 4-year-old son Lio.
Originally from New Jersey, Martin Spinelli is a radio producer, writer and professor. His most important and rewarding job is being a father to his son, Lio Spinelli.
Martin discusses how his son Lio pulled himself back from the edge of death and deals with the loss of his mother.
Martin's book has become a handbook on how to use tradegy to transform one's life for the better.
