Dr. Neuman received his undergraduate education from Cornell University with a major in genetics and human development. He completed medical school training at the State University of New York, Health Science Center at Brooklyn, where he continued the training as a surgical intern for one year and underwent a four-year orthopedic surgery residency. After a year as chief resident, Dr. Neuman spent one year at Temple University undergoing specialty training in sports medicine and arthroscopic surgery. Dr. Neuman specializes in general arthroscopic surgery with a sports medicine philosophy. This includes physical therapy and home exercises to help an injured joint recover to a functional state. He is an advocate of the bone and joint decade and believes that health and fitness are an important part of everyday life.
Dr. Neuman is a solo practitioner of orthopedic surgery in New York City. He travels to several offices throughout the month and operates at many different facilities. He runs a busy practice and strives to help the injured to recover to a functional state, so they can become active members of society. He relies on his well-trained and professional staff to help facilitate patient care, and believe in preventive orthopedics to help maintain bones and joints for everyday work activities, recreational activities and life experiences.
