An Artist Speaks Season 4 Episode 11 with Guest Johnathan Herzberg

    in Art

Listen to this entertaing interview with host Michael Harris and up and coming young artist Johnathan Herzberg.  Johnahan works in an abstract nature.  He wants the audience to decide for themselves what they are seeing and feeling. When he’s creating, he rarely goes into a project with a plan, but lets it carry him through it and then suddenly its done. Generally this process creates a vividness of color and a mixing that allows for so many possibilities to pop out at the observer.

“My relationship with art was something of a hit upside the head it happened so suddenly. I started painting about 3 years ago one day when I was home from college. On a whim, I got out the spray paint and the air compressor and "went to town" on some poster board. Since then have tried working with many different techniques using mainly trial and error methods to hone my skills.  I like the idea that a group of people can look at the same painting and all see and feel completely different things.”

YGY 2015 Series Preview Show: Yankees-Braves Preview (8/28-8/30)

    in Baseball

On tonight's episode of the Yanks Go Yard Radio Show, host and senior staff writer Ricky Keeler gives his takeaways from the Yankees' series against the Houston Astros, which included the return of Michael Pineda to the rotation and Mark Teixeira to the starting lineup. However, with New York scoring only four runs in the series, is it time to panic about the Yankees' offense?

Then, Johnathan Savitske and John Buhler from ATL All Day join the show to help Ricky preview the Yankees-Braves series. John and Jonathan will give their take on the Braves' rebuilding plans, Brian McCann coming back to Atlanta for the weekend, and how Atlanta has scored the fewest runs in baseball. Plus, with Craig Kimbrel gone and Jason Grilli gone, how has Atlanta's makeshift bullpen been doing? Ricky, Jonathan, and John will breakdown the pitching matchups and give you their players to watch.

After that segment, Ricky will air a special interview he did Monday night with Yankees' first round James Kaprielian, who is currently pitching for the Staten Island Yankees.

As always, you can interact with the show at anytime by calling us at (347)-324-5455 or tweeting us: @YGYRadioShow
