Critique of Joel McDurmon and Isaiah 65 Part II

    in Religion

Today we present the second part of our critique of Joel McDurmon and Iaiah 65 on the New Heavens and new earth. We examine Isaiah 65 to determine whether it is to be understood in apocalyptic language or by using a literal hermeneutic.

We also compare the use being made by Joel who applies a literal premillennial hermeneutic to texts almost unamnimously accepted as figurative.

BITS: LITTLE RIVER BAND'S WAYNE NELSON

    in Entertainment

Lead singer and bass guitar player, song writer and co-writer for the Little River Band, Wayne Nelson has been playing bass and singing lead vocals with the band for more than 30 years. Nelson reminisces with Halli when he joins her at the table on The Halli Casser-Jayne Show.

The Little River Band originally formed in Melbourne, Australia, in 1975. Nelson came on board in 1979 the first American to join the band. All told, LRB has sold more than 30 million records and achieved 13 U.S. Top 40 hits, most notably Reminiscing, Lonesome Loser, Cool Change, The Night Owls and Take It Easy on Me, the latter two songs featuring lead vocals by Nelson, along with his considerable talent as a bass guitarist, his funk bass skills distinguishing him early in the band’s history. Just as compelling as the story of the band is Nelson’s personal life a story of extreme highs and tragic lows.

Reminiscing with Little River Band’s Wayne Nelson, Halli’s guest for the hour when he joins Halli at her table Wednesday, May 20, 3 pm ET on The Halli Casser-Jayne Show. For more information visit Halli Casser-Jayne dot com.

Now, his new album Feel These Blues is showcasing Slam as his own man, forging a new trail. Slam and I will talk about his journey and we will explore his many influences and what it feels like to influence the new generation of Blues Artists.

Anthony Gomes was raised in Toronto and began plying in his early teens. In the late 90's he moved to Chicago and had a brief stint with Magic Slim & The Teardrops before he was recognised as "Best Unsigned Blues Band" by Buddy Guy's Legends. His music has charted on Billboard, been awarded numerous accolades and awards and now Anthony has release Electric Field Hollar with a dozen original tracks. Anthony and I will discuss his career.

In addition to his solo albums, Jason Ricci has appeared as a guest harmonica player on albums with Johnny Winter, Ana Popovic, Walter Trout, & The Mannish Boys among others. He was named "Best Harmonica Player" at the 2010 Blues Music Awards, and has won a Grammy Award for his contribution to the 2014 Johnny Winter album Step Back. In February 2015, Ricci began a national tour with a new band named Jason Ricci and the Bad Kind. I will speak with Jason about his road, which has not always been so smooth.

WORLD PREMIER - Victor Wainwright returns to The Couch to share his upcoming release Boom Town two weeks before it drops! The album is a winner and Victor and I will discuss the last year of touring and getting healthy and more.
