Dr. Joel C. Gregory is Professor of Preaching at Truett Seminary and Distinguished Fellow of Georgetown College in Georgetown, KY. He is founder and principal of Joel Gregory Ministries, an international ministry of teaching and preaching.
Joel earned two degrees from Baylor University, B.A. summa cum laude and Ph.D. He holds the M.Div. from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary where he also taught preaching for three years.

Joel Segal is a longtime organizer, activist, and scholar. He served as a senior legislative aide to Congressman John Conyers for 13 years, and helped found and lead movements to reform healthcare, provide relief to AIDS victims in Africa, as well as for Peace in the Middle East. Joel will welcome leaders, experts and activists working to build the progressive movement. In this first show, Joel will welcome Rev. Rodney Sadler, one of the leaders of the Moral Monday/Forward Together movement.
Rev. Rodney Sadler is a board member of the PDA, and the Middle East Peace Working Group. He is a national leader in the movement for universal health care and ACA Medicaid expansion. He frequently speaks at press conferences and Congressional briefings at the request of Members of the Congress. Rev Sadler also works closely with senior Obama Administration officials on issues pertaining to faith and social justice.
Rev Sadler lectures within the church and community on Race in the Bible, African American Biblical Interpretation, the Image of Jesus, Biblical Archaeology, and the Dead Sea Scrolls. Sadler was the managing editor of the African American Devotional Bible. His teaching experience includes courses in biblical languages, Old and New Testament interpretation, wisdom literature in the Bible, the history and religion of ancient Israel, and African American biblical interpretation. His book, Can A Cushite Change His Skin? An Examination of Race, Ethnicity, and Othering in the Hebrew Bible, was published in 2005. Rev. Sadler served as a visiting lecturer and interim co-director of the Office of Black Church Studies at Duke Divinity School in Durham, NC, and was an associate minister in Durham, NC.

Barbara is the founder of Barbara Poppe and associates, LLC, and the former executive director of the United States Interagency Council on Homelessness, and a nationally recognized expert on homelessness and results-driven public-private partnerships. Ms. Poppe serves on the Enterprise Community Partners Board of Trustees and the National Advisory Committee for the Siemer Institute for Family Stability.
Barbara Poppe and associates, established in 2014, is an independent consulting firm that develops the capacity of communities and organizations to tackle complex issues using a collaborative systems approach to achieves results and impact.
Ms. Poppe served as the Executive Director of the United States Interagency Council on Homelessness from November 2009 to March 2014. During her tenure, Poppe oversaw the Federal response to homelessness by working with 19 Federal agencies to create partnerships at every level of government and with the private sector to reduce and end homelessness. In June 2010, Barbara Poppe and four Cabinet Secretaries announced Opening Doors, the nation’s first- ever comprehensive Federal plan to prevent and end homelessness.
Ms. Poppe served as the executive director of the nationally recognized Community Shelter Board (Columbus, Ohio) from October 1995 to November 2009. She holds a Masters of Science degree in Epidemiology from the University of Cincinnati.
Over the course of her career, Ms. Poppe has served on numerous boards and committees, such as the National Alliance to End Homelessness, Columbus Mayor Michael Coleman’s Economic Advisory Committee, and advisory boards for the Child Welfare League of America and the Corporation for Supportive Housing.

Kevin Finn is the founding President/CEO of Strategies to End Homelessness, which leads a coordinated system of care for the homeless in Cincinnati/Hamilton County. He oversees homelessness prevention services, as well as street outreach, emergency shelter, and housing programs for homeless people. Strategies to End Homelessness’ goal is to reduce homelessness by 50% by 2017, and to eventually end homelessness in our community.
Barb Anderson is a native of Jeffersonville, Indiana where she operates a 60 bed facility for emergency housing. Ms. Anderson is the founding Director of Haven House Services and has been working in the field for 32 years. She is on the Board of Directors for the National Coalition for the Homeless and has worked across the country to assist others in establishing services to homeless people living in rural or small communities. Her passion is to close her shelter, “no one should live in a shelter but we are necessary until safe, decent, and affordable housing exists for everyone”.
