In 1999 Jodi Foster moved to Chico, CA trying to start a new life for her and her daughter, Hannah. Unknowingly, Jodi and Hannah moved into an apartment with a very dark past. Shortly after moving into her apartment, Foster began to feel the presence of an unknown entity. Her young daughter had seen an angel following her mother from room to room. Foster was soon plagued with haunting nightmares of abduction, murder, and a secret burial. Lights flashed off and on, the hands of a clock turned, a “Sing and Snore Ernie” doll yelled, "I feel great! I feel great!", and an “angel” named "My-Liz" appeared to a young Hannah. And all of this on just the first night in their new apartment.
Today Foster still resides in Chico with her daughter Hannah and son Sam and is the author of Forgotten Burial: A Cry for Justice from Beyond the Grave. This story is a nonfiction account of actual events linked to a well-known abduction and murder case that reached sensational proportions in the mid-1980s, bringing to light the term, Stockholm syndrome and that connects this story to Foster’s paranormal experiences in her apartment.
This true paranormal mystery, might just scare the skeptic out of you, and inspire you at the same time.
A story of inhumanity and stolen innocence is neither easy to tell, nor to hear. Forgotten Burial is both extremely disturbing, yet, ultimately, uplifting as we follow the author's journey form terror to understanding, and finally to taking action.

WOMEN EMPOWERED CEO, Jodi-Lynn Jacques aims to increase the choices available to women, and to provide suggestions and ideas, not a list of do's and don’ts. She believes that ultimately each woman must make her own decision about how to respond to a particular situation and we give them plenty of options to choose from.
Most self-defense systems start when the aggressor has already initiated his attack forcing you to quickly defend yourself. HOWEVER, this System starts WELL before the initial contact in a bad situation, empowering students with the confidence and skills needed to quickly identify potential dangers, avoid them or diffuse if necessary.
The physical section of our instruction is based on a 500 year old kung fu system created for women called Wing Chun Kung Fu. It is based on kinesiology, strategy and physics, not size; strength or flexibility. Wing Chun fully integrates the body’s reflexive responses and instinctive survival mechanisms making it the most natural way to protect you regardless of age or gender.
Jodi-Lynn is a Wing Chun Kung Fu gold sash, with 22 years of training, who is from the Sunny Tang line, a disciple of Sifu Walter Jakimczuk and has a Media and Communication degree.
It is better to evade then to run. It is better to run then to pacify. It is better to pacify then to fight. Fighting is always a last resort, but we will show you how to do this with a calm mind and cool intellect.
Jodi has been well respected as an educator in the grooming industry for many years. She was ranked one of the top pet stylists in the world, winning countless titles including World Grand Champion and Best American Groomer. Jodi is here to share with you her knowledge in this extraordinary grooming book. With over 190 breeds recognized by the American Kennel Club along with individual breed-specific grooming instructions, it can become very overwhelming for groomers to retain the information. "Straight to the Point” is the solution to understanding pattern lines, which simplifies the learning process. Whether the patterns are set tight, left more natural or scissored...they are set in the same fashion. Once a groomer understands basic patterns and canine structure, he or she will be able to groom any breed with ease. With over 400 beautiful color images, including some of the top winning show dogs in the country, groomers will be able to see proper pattern placement on real dogs. These fabulous photos can be used as a reference that will facilitate in executing a perfect pet trim. A pet dog does not have to be groomed using “show” techniques, i.e., hand stripping, to present the proper breed profile. With proper pattern placement and techniques described in this text, the groomer will be able to present a well-balanced, well-blended pet trim to the pet owner.

Although there are many ways to heal (most of them serious and
intense), my favorite way is through laughter and fun. Being an
educator and teacher for over thirty years has allowed my students
and me this blessed luxury.
I love experiencing the joy of life. Celebrating the journeys of those
around me as I continue to live, love, laugh, and heal myself. (It’s not
always fun playing in the sandbox alone).
