Kirk Nurmi return's to King Jordan Radio 2-4 CALL & Speak to KIRK! 347-857-295
Most people know Kirk based on the fact that he represented Jodi Arias at trial that received national and international attention. However, while this case is how many know his representation of Ms. Arias at trial is not when his legal career began. In fact, it began in 2000 after he graduated from the University of Wyoming. In 2001, Kirk began working at the Maricopa County Public Defender’s Office. he worked there for over 10 years and during that time he successfully defended several individuals accused of serious crimes. For several years he exclusively represented people who were accused of sexual offenses. In the latter part of Kirk's career with the Public Defender’s Office he worked in the Capital Unit where I tried two other capital cases besides Jodi Arias.

On tonight's episode of the Yanks Go Yard Radio Show, host and senior staff writer Ricky Keeler gives his take on the Yankees trading four minor league prospects to the Reds for closer Aroldis Chapman. What was his reaction when he first heard about the trade and should New York trade Andrew Miller or keep the dominant bullpen trio?
At 9:05 PM ET, Matt Wilkes of Blog Red Machine joins the show to give his take on the Chapman deal from a Reds perspective. Did the Reds wait too long to deal Chapman and how do some of the prospects they got back from New York (along with rule V pick Jake Cave) fit into the Reds system? Plus, Matt gives his take on the Reds' re-building plan as they have dealt the likes of Chapman and Todd Frazier this winter?
Finally, Ricky will look back on the 2015 season and talk about some of the memorable moments from the year. You can interact with the show at any time by calling us at (347)-324-5455 or tweeting us: @YGYRadioShow
Folks, I've had all I can take. In the last hour, I have been on the phone with Jodi from Iowa. We have laughed, we have talked, and we have broken down in front of each other and cried. It was then that I knew...no, we BOTH knew, that this just has to stop. It has to stop fast...and hard...and it has to stop now. Not next week...or month, or year...no, this is going to stop YESTERDAY. And this is the show that's going to do it. Today I will be joined in the studio by Jodi, from Iowa, who I have never met, and have only talked to one time. And it was the biggest emotional rollercoaster I have been on since I started doing this show. So today, no other callers will be taken, and no chats will occur with others. It will be as if Jodi is my long lost cousin, and she's calling me after 10 years to catch me up on how she's doing these days. In this time, we will do exactly as we did on the phone call. People, America needs to hear what these things are doing to us, they need to hear us blow rods....and lose control over the evil that has deprived us of our children. Every emotion will come out here, both Jodi's...and mine. Join us today as we hammer out our anger, our rage, our tears and more, and give the people of this country a glimpse into our very souls on this. THIS IS A ONE OF A KIND SHOW. DON'T MISS THIS ONE, IF YOU MISS ANY.
DATE: TODAY, DECEMBER 1ST. TIME: 5:00 P.M. CENTRAL. NO GUESTS WILL BE ALLOWED TO CALL IN TODAY!!
Many hip-hop artists claim titles like Entrepreneur, Hustler, or Go-Getter, but none exemplify this title better than Lefty. Born Kareem Williams in South Philadelphia, PA, Lefty, the son of The Late Doo Wop singer Charles Williams From "The Turbans", began his quest to hip-hop stardom in 1998, rapping his heart out on the set of Philly Most Wanted video shoot for legendary producer Pharrell Williams of the Neptunes, heavily influenced by 2Pac, E-40, Eightball and MJG and more, as part of a South Philly rap group named Plead Da Fifth, including Takedown Records star Daytona, among others. After dropping 3 well received mixtapes with the group, Lefty, decided to become a co-owner of Lab Addicts studio. He helped shape the careers of noted Philly rappers NH, Random (aka Mega Ran) and many more. Never one to hustle backwards, Lefty decided to leave the studio and mic behind in 2003 to focus on business ownership and family life. After putting up amazing numbers in the MLM (Multi-Level-Marketing) and Internet marketing business and relocating to Phoenix, AZ, Lefty is now returning to the hip-hop world with a vengeance, boasting an improved flow and sharper business mind. Kirk Nurmi who represented Jodi Arias in her five-year-long murder trial has penned a book In his new book Trapped with Ms Arias, L Kirk Nurmi claims he tried to get himself dismissed from the case multiple times because of the 'very disturbed' murderess' inappropriate and intimidating behavior. He even went to far as to quit the public defender's firm where he was working just to try and escape Arias but the court nonetheless ordered him to stay on the case.'Once I had a sense of where this case was going, I was willing to give up a job … simply to get away from Ms. Arias, and when I did not get away, I realized that I was truly trapped on her case, which also meant I was trapped with her,' Nurmi writes in the book. Part 1 (of 2) of an in-depth discussion with former Kentucky and NBA star Rex Chapman. In Part 1, Chapman tells some fascinating stories about his relentless recruitment, his memorable run in Lexington, being the first player ever signed by the Charlotte Hornets, how he scored 39 points against Michael Jordan's 72-10 Bulls team, and what made Steve Nash and Jason Kidd so great.
(In Part 2, Chapman talks about the difficulties he’s faced after retiring from the NBA, why he thinks he’s battled with addiction, and the embarrassing event that ultimately led him to better his life.)
Adam Stanco talks about the things basketball people are talking about with two of the most insightful men in the game: Rex Chapman & Matt Walsh. Chapman was a legend at the University of Kentucky and averaged nearly 15 points a game during his NBA career. Walsh starred at Florida, played in the NBA, and recently retired after a successful career overseas. They discuss the state of Kentucky basketball, the impact of the one-and-done rule, comparables for Ben Simmons, the unforeseen problems the Sixers created with a losing culture, where the Warriors go from here, and why Dwight Howard isn't worth the headaches.
