Conscious Conversations with Joan and Janet 03112015

    in Self Help

Today on Conscious Conversations with Joan and Janet we talk about Time and Consciousness.  Clock Time is artificial, the circadian rhythm of our bodies go by the sun and moon and season Clock time wasn’t even aligned amongst cities until the advent of railroads. Daylight savings time artificially changes our schedule. Jet lag comes from from taking our physical bodies faster than they can travel on their own to places around the world.

Consciousness transcends time and space yet manifests through form.  The Internet  connects us to all time zones. Technology replicates Consciousness, why we are so attracted to it, but it’s vibrationally out of sync with our bodies.

How do we hold Consciousness in form, and in technology?

We drop into heart space to learn about our inner sense of time.  We each have a different experience of time and flow.  When we live and work with others, we fall into a different tempo, being in anothers flow. Rather than resisting it all, we can relax into the present moment and experience an infinite amount of time!

Ep 115: Dr. Joan Steidinger on Sisterhood in Sports

    in Books

Join Dr. Angela Lauria of The Author Incubator as she interviews Dr. Joan Steidinger on the publishing of her book, Sisterhood in Sports: How Female Athletes Collaborate and Compete.

Dr. Steidinger came up with the idea for this book two decades ago and her first proposal was submitted three years later. As a psychologist, she noticed that women were getting short shrift for their focus on relationships from an emotional perspective. Understanding women has been one of the major difficulties for men and even some female coaches. She wanted to write a book that would honor female athletes instead of penalizing them for showing their emotions.

Joan Landes On The Mental Health Aspect of Common Core

    in News

Hear Joan Landes, mental health therapist, share her perspective on the Common Core.  It is an eye-awakening and maddening experience to hear that we are not using the correct tools to help children in our Education System.  How sad that they who tell children to do their homework are not doing the same on Common Core and therefore is causing tremendous damage to tender children.  After 4 years of Common Core Math, Prof Jim Milgram says the damage to children is irretrievable so with that in mind--this is Emergency Time for ALL.  The mind of a child is precious in God's eyes.  He tells us to think aupon things that are holy, good and pure.  The only thing pure about Common core is sadly that it is hogwash.  Let's get armed with the truth and throw that stone to our elected officials and tell them to remember His Word to do no harm to His precious children.

Joan Rivers honored by Bob Mackie at Steve Chase Humanitarian Awards

    in Current Events

In this episode, the legendary fashion designer Bob Mackie honored Joan Rivers with a special tribute for her legacy of activism on behalf of those living with HIV and AIDS.  Reported Advocate.com in 10 Celebrity Icons of HIV Activism, "Joan Rivers was many things: a comedic legend, a feminist trailblazer, an uproarious fashion critic, and an unconventional but devoted mother and grandmother. But with all the zings, sling,s and punch lines that made up the persona of Joan Rivers, she was also a relentless HIV activist with a lion’s heart. Rivers began her advocacy work decades ago when she first started volunteering with God’s Love We Deliver, a nonprofit organization delivering food to HIV and AIDS patients in New York City. In 2009, when she won Celebrity Apprentice, she gave all of her earnings from the show to the organization. Her prize money bought 56,000 meals."

Nicholas Snow (with guest co-host Kristin Johnson) is thrilled to present a seven-part comprehensive series documenting the 2015 Steve Chase Humanitarian Awards held February 9th at the Palm Springs Convention Center, raising $1.3 million for direct client services at Desert AIDS Project. Special thanks to the gala producer Momentous Events for helping us secure the audio.
