The NBA Finals is upon us and the matchup for the game's grandest stage has been set. On one end we have LeBron James and the Miami Heat going for the illustrious 3-peat. On the other we have Tim Duncan and the San Antonio Spurs in the "Drive For Five". This matchup has very historical implications and we have Tru School Sports CEO/Founder/Lead Writer Brendan Taylor and Staff Writer John Zelasney aka "The Informer" to talk about all things NBA Finals.
Also with it being the 1st show of "The Best Damn Podcast Period" Brendan and John will give you a more in-depth introduction to who they are. Expect lots of Kemba Walker and Randy Moss bias being thrown around by the two.

College Football Players Can Unionize
Whle we are talking "March Madness" and this issue is tied to football specifically...it has to have connections to all college atheltics. What does this mean for the players? Is it a move in the right direction?
Survey Shows "The People" Don't Support College Athlete's Getting Paid
More specifically....WHITE PEOPLE don't support college athletes getting paid. We bring you the numbers...then weight in on the subject....
The Struggle of the White College Basketball Player is Real
College basketball continues to feed us players Aaron Craft, and Doug Mcdermott. Routinely, these players are highlighted and celebrated for doing "all the right things" yet they go pro and do nothing. Tyler Hansborough, Adam Morrison, Jimmer Fredette, Mark Madsen, JJ Reddick to an extent...shall I continue? Why are these guys celebrated as being so good and college...yet they have no success in the pros? Have they made it harder for guys like Doug Mcdermott and Aaron Craft?

Excuse my venom, but the Adam Silver is OUT OF HIS MIND if he plans to institute a new rule establishing a 4-point shot. That is the kind of gimmick the Harlem Globetrotters use to sell tickets, and I'd hate to think of Silver as Abe Saperstein 2.0.
But Rod Thorn divulged yesterday in an interview with ESPN.com's Henry Abbott that a 4-point shot is one of the changes being considered by the new braintrust at NBA headquarters, where David Stern now has to show his driver's license in the Olympic Tower lobby in order to be allowed upstairs.
The NBA has made idiotic rules changes before, such as moving the 3-point line in to 22 feet for two seasons during the mid 90s, turning every game into a chuckfest and every player into a guy with 3-point range. It took the league 2 years to back off that rule change and restore some semblance of rationality.
If it was up to me, I'd move the 3-point line back even further, eliminating the corner 3-point shot (which has always been 22 feet) and awarding the extra point only to those who have Damian Lillard range -- 25 feet. But the only thing I am commissioner of is this Web site, so all I can do is add my 2 cents on the issue of a 4-point shot -- which I do in this podcast with 1280TheZone in Salt Lake City.
If the NBA adds a 4-point shot, make the 4-point line the opposing free throw line. It would allow for a few last-second heaves to provide a handful of compelling finishes to games that seemed lost, but would not become a shot taken with any kind of regularity.
What other changes do I think the NBA should consider?
One is a playoff seeding change that would allow for some East-West matchups in the playoffs. For the details, along with a spin around the league, enjoy the podcast.

Sports Talk Tuesday with Brian and Joe. The duo will talk about the AL West with MLB writer Alex Valberg and discuss the Oakland A's repeating as champs, Prince Fielder in Texas, and how much money Mike Trout really deserves?
We were all witnesses to the Duke vs Syracuse rematch Saturday night in Durham, North Carolina. Was not as high scoring but just as entertaining, capped off by coach Boehiem losing it. Did the Orange coach cost his team the game? Senior CJ Fair thought so.
In the NBA, players are being bought out and looking to join new teams. Danny Granger, Ron Artest, and Jimmer Ferdette to name a few. Also, Raymond Felton pulled a gun on his wife last night, leading to his arrest where he was set free on a $25,000 bail.
All that and much more here on Sports Talk Tuesday with Brian and Joe.
