    Jesse Hagopian: #BlackLivesMatter and #optout

    in Education

Don't miss this special episode of BustED Pencils as Jed and Tim talk to Seattle teacher and activist, Jesse Hagopian.  The question: Does the Black Lives Matter movement and Opt Out movement belong together?  We will talk to Jesse about the current accountability movement and its historical connections to the practice of eugenics driven standardized testing. Are today's tests serving the same purpose as they did 100 years ago—sorting and seperating according to race, class and ethnicity?

    James Wilder: Award-Winning Actor

    in Movies

Actor James Wilder drops by to discuss his new film 3 Holes and a Smoking Gun, a fascinating thriller about screenplay mania. Wilder excels as a duplicitous, washed-up Hollywood screenwriter in this unusual indy gem. The Red Dirt International Film Festival named Wilder Best Lead Actor for his performance, and the film also won the prestigious Grand Jury Prize at the same festival as well as Best Screenplay honors at L.A.’s Downtown Film Festival and Best U.S. Narrative Film of 2014 at the Laughlin International Film Festival. Wilder portrayed an ambitious lawyer in TV’s Equal Justice, a drug-dealing seducer in “Melrose Place,” and a demonic serial killer in the acclaimed movie Murder One.

His other film and TV credits  include: Scorchers, Perfume, Mind Games, Man of the Year, Flypaper, Nevada and The Coriolis Effect. Bitten by the showbiz bug early, Wilder was performing his one-man show in Paris at the age of 14. Later, he studied at New York’s famous Actors Studio and appeared in Broadway’s Sugar Babies as well as with Ed Asner in the ABC Theater presentation Cracked Up. Wilder’s artistic interests go beyond the realm of acting. He is also a creative architect and designer.

Are You Smarter Than Your Pastor Jesse Jackson

    in Religion

Jesse Jackson is well know as a Civil Rights Activist, he claims to be a Baptist minister and a man of God. Is this true according to the scriptures?

In these difficult days and times we often look to spiritual leaders for guidance and instruction in our lives. As Christians (followers of Christ) should these leaders speak from their mind, or from what is written based on the word of God? This show will examine things said by men and woman claiming to be Gods ministers to reveal whether or not they are speaking Gods word and doing his will. 1Pet 4: 11 If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through JesusChrist, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.We hope you tune in and listen to our show. We air programs on Blog Talk Radio at the following times: Sun 2:00pm, Tue 8:00pm, Wed 7:00pm, Fri 7:00pm & Sat 9:00am all eastern time.
