Jerrod Mustaf is widely recognized as one of the rising stars in the field of social work in the Washington Metropolitan Area. As a long-time advocate for juvenile justice programs and one of the first certified gang prevention counselors in state of Maryland, he manages one of the most successful Juvenile Justice Programs in the nation. As the public face and primary fundraiser for Take Charge, Mustaf oversees and directs program activities for a program that employs a staff of six with more than 9 active programs and an annual budget of $500,000. Mustaf’s direction is a key component because of his involvement with Prince George’s County anti-gang initiatives and his involvement with a variety of youth programs.
He has more than 11 years of experience in developing, marketing and implementing local, state and programs resulting in an increase in serviced population and national level recognition. His experience in directing and managing juvenile justice programs helped Take Charge to achieve a 90% success rates for program-involved participants, one of the best records of achievements for a nonprofit in the State of Maryland. Best known as a former professional athlete, Jerrod Mustaf has dedicated his post-playing career to uplifting and mentoring at-risk youth throughout the Washington Metropolitan Area.
