Jeffery Wansley Wrongfuly Convicted of a Crime that Never happen~
Nobody will ever change the condition of a people until they change within themselves. Family the burden is on us to change our behavior; to build love, trust and confidence in each other and in our people for us, then, 95% of our problems will be solved. We, as leaders must declare that we will never sell out the aspirations of our people for personal wealth, position and advancement in the society of our former slave masters and their children. We must make a covenant with our people to work and sacrifice and be willing to be the good shepherd (leaders) who will lay down our lives for our people. Let us accept our responsibility and change our behavior to that, which will make us more than comrades and brothers and Sisters, but a behavior that will make us friends and companions in the struggle for the total freedom of our people here and wherever we are found on this earth.
Our word must be our bond. When we break our word we destroy the life of this covenant or the agreement that we have made. It is absolutely necessary that as leaders we must build trust among ourselves. We can only build trust when we strive to keep our word, particularly a solemn agreement or covenant that we make with each other and with our people. I PLEDGE that from this day forward I will keep this covenant. I pledge that I will work to accomplish our mission to make our vision a reality so help me God.
Talk About Jeffery Deaver's 007 novel, Carte Blanche, with Rez and Andy! LIVE.
On today's show Rez and Andy have a conversation with international best-selling author Jeffery Deaver and will welcome callers to join in at the end of the show.
American author Jeffery Deaver was given the task of bringing our favorite vintage spy, James Bond, to the modern world. Understandably, since it signalled the greatest shift in the franchise history, the launch of his book was held tight within the publishing company until its official launch in 2011.
We'll have a conversation with him about how he accomplished the re-creation of such a well-known and loved character, and we'll also ask him to share the story behind his latest May 2014 release, The Skin Collector. The Skin Collector is the latest book in the Lincoln Rhyme Series--a series that started with The Bone Collector and was made into a movie starring Denzel Washington and Angelina Jolie.
Please join us Sunday, May 25, 2014 as we welcome Dr. Jeffery B. Perry to Black FreeThinkers.
We will discuss Hubert Henry Harrison who is considered the Black Socrates. Harrison is also know for his radical humanism, oratorical skills, and influence.
"The Invention of the White Race" by Theodore W. Allen, especially Vol. II: "The Origin of Racial Oppression in Anglo-America"."When the first Africans arrived in Virginia in 1619, there were no 'white' people there; nor, according to the colonial records, would there be for another sixty years." Theodore W. Allen
Theodore W. Allen's "The Invention of the White Race," with its focus on racial oppression and social control, is one of the twentieth-century's major contributions to historical understanding. This two-volume classic (Vol. 1: "Racial Oppression and Social Control" and Vol. 2: "The Origin of Racial Oppression in Anglo-America") details how the "white race" was invented as a ruling-class social control formation and a system of racial oppression was imposed in response to labor solidarity in the wake of Bacon's Rebellion (1676-77), how the "white race" was created and maintained through "white race" privileges conferred on laboring class European-Americans relative to African-Americans, how these privileges were not in the interest of African-Americans or laboring class European-Americans, and how the "white race" has been the principal historic guarantor of ruling-class domination in America.
