Join Jodie and Lena for an inspiring conversation on Jodie's own journey, and tools and practices on how we can cultivate fierce self-love into our own lives!
I'm excited to share with you both my personal story and my expertise as a mindfulness-based psychotherapist. By understanding some of the internal shifts I took towards self love, why I think it’s important for women to be fierce about it, and how it can help ground you in your purpose, values, needs, and boundaries, you can begin to build self love skills in your own life. I’ll share four emotional mindfulness tools and practices in the hope that they inspire you on your journey.
Jodie Stein, MFT is a San Francisco based therapist helping women in transition to be fierce about loving themselves. She offers an attachment focused, mindfulness based approach to psychotherapy and is trained in EMDR. She enjoys working with women struggling with relationship, career, life purpose, and family of origin transitions, anxiety, and the impact of trauma. In addition, she helps couples prepare for the transition of marriage, facilitates a therapy group for women in the separation/divorce process, and is currently planning The Love Yourself Project, a new workshop for women recovering from a break-up who want to develop tools for inner resilience, grow community, and make an impact on others. Jeanne Mackay, owner of The Tasteful Olive, shares the story behind the specialty food retail store she opened in Overland Park a few years ago. The Tasteful Olive was named the Kansas Women-Owned Business of the Year, Retail Firm; the 2010 Downtown Overland Park Business of the Year; and the 2012 Purveyor of the Year by the Greater Kansas City Chefs Association.
Amy Stein, DPT, BCB-PMD, will be speaking about her experience in promoting pelvic pain awareness, and what changes she has seen in the media including her episode on Dr. Oz, ABC's 20/20, Prevention magazine, and Elle magazine. During the past 15 years as an expert pelvic floor physical therapist, she has seen the changes in pelvic pain and the media. She will also discuss her new video, which is over 2 hours long: Healing Pelvic and Abdominal Pain: The ultimate home program and a guide for practitioners. She will discuss how each media piece and the video came about, and what the reactions were with each event.

Clint and Graveyard do reading and commentary on Gertrude Stein and Nathaniel Mackey. Graveyard tells a story of when Clint met poet and mythologist Robert Bly. Also, a listener email is read on air and a W.B. Yeats poem gets The Graveyard Cowboy on a pseudo-fanatical soapbox of mysticism-as-literal.
Join us every Monday as we discuss things that affect our every day lives, from games to wrestling and more. Anything is up for disscussion except politics and religon leave those at the door.
