If you're jealous does that mean you care?
GSRT Member Question:
I'm married and we have a 4mo old. I'm going back to work when she's 6 mos. I make double the money my husband does and I proposed that he stay at home w/our daughter and I can continue to work. I think it's a better option than daycare.
He was offended and said as a man he needs to earn a living. I said if I make twice as much as you, wouldn't it benefit our daughter to have a parent home with her if we can afford it? If we're married, what does it matter who makes the money as long as we work as a team?
What do you think? And and for the men...would you be willing to stay at home with the child if your wife could hold it down financially?

Wanna hear a REALLY COOL Smith Wigglesworth-like testimony? Last night I hyper-extended my elbow. It gave me wincing pain doing anything, sometimes even being at rest. And, after about ten minutes of being in that condition, the Lord showed Derek a vision of him grabbing my hand and shaking my elbow. When he told me what he saw, I was like, "Are you SURE God told you to do that?" And, Derek was like, "Yeah. He gave me a vision of me doing it." So, given that he's been my best friend for almost 14 years and my hubby for 12, I easily trust him when it comes to hearing from God. He's had such good fruit. I stood up, stretched out my arm, and released my faith. Derek grabbed my hand and heartily shook my arm. It didn't hurt at all. Then he said, Oh, I forgot to give the command of faith. And, I eagerly stretched out my arm again for him to shake it as well, giving it the command of faith. It didn't hurt. I felt the presence of God. And, GOD HEALED MY ARM!!!!!! No joke. I went from really thinking that I'd have to keep it in a sling or something this weekend to planning on doing laundry today. God is AMAZING!!!!! We're doing a Preach Like Paul tonight about Tongues, The Prophetic, and are you Zealous or Jealous? Hope to see you guys there. Just click the link at 7 p.m. Central to listen to us live. Love you guys!!!!!!!
Fresh out of his last board of directors meeting as the 17th president of the NAACP, I caught up with my old friend Benjamin Todd Jealous from his home this morning. We talked about his early years as an unlikely leader, the impact of his parents and grandparents, how his grandmother taught him that history is instruction, the power of committed professors, and how the NAACP presidency was the only job he ever wanted.
Many of our destructive behaviors in relationships are rooted in childhood. When as a child one experiences the loss or chronic absense of a parent, a lifelong fear of abandonment sets in. As children, we learn to fear that we are not loveable enough to make a person we love stay with us. As adults we engage in behavior that we hope will keep a person attached to us. This can come in the form of extreme jealousy, clinginess, stalking, overcompensation, willingness to accept abuse, and even refusing to leave after the relationship has ended. This behavior that actually has the effect of driving the one we love away from us. Do you have abandonment issues? Listen to our relationship experts and judge for yourself!
As part of the regular Monday feature "What Catholics Really Believe", Catholic Evangelist Gary Zimak discusses various faith topics that often prove confusing . In this episode, Gary will continue his walk through the 10 Commandments, by discussing the 10th Commandment...You shall not covet your neighbor's goods. While it's very easy to fall into the trap of being envious of other people's success and possessions, the Lord commands us not to! In addition, we'll read and discuss the daily Mass readings. In order to live and share our Catholic Faith, it's important that we learn it first. Tune in and let's do it!
