Immediately, there's a connection: Keith Andrew spent his childhood in Baltimore (small world!) - then moved to the San Francisco Bay area when he was a teen. He had been playing guitar since he was ten - and the rich diversity of music in Northern California fueled him further. Led to Los Angeles, he studied some of the most prestigious guitarists on the planet: Robben Ford, Joe Pass and more.
Keith made sure that he received an education that was suited for the future he was seeking. He was part of the Chaffey College Jazz Ensemble - and excelled so much that he won awards from The National Association of Jazz Educators. He did exceptionally well at the Guitar Institute of Technology, too. And became a staff instructor there. The best of paths followed our guest because he became associated with a very successful L.A. based group called Himilaya. The band got serious buzz and received national airplay - and also had a chance to tour.
Fast forward to 2014 and Keith Andrew has "Adventurous Soul" up and running - with 13 tracks and a who's who of Contemporary Jazz. The COOL piece of this Hybrid puzzle is that Keith has made some terrific choices, regarding who's around him, what he composes, and how he views his music. He found in fellow guitarist, Nils, a kindred spirit. Nils produced six of the songs on "Soul" - and these two exceptional artists found that their FEEL encompassed a fusion that included a vision of World music. Keith developed a passion for expanding his vision when he spent time with the California based group, Zulu Spear. He's an interesting guy, as well as the consummate guitarist. He loves the outdoors and is not a lightweight about it - Keith has been to countries to hike that have only been a part of many of our dreams :) Please join us in welcoming Keith Andrew on 12/4/2014!

Victor's rich gauzy tenor and his ability to move seamlessly between the blues, jazz, R&B and Pop prompted the legendary Lou Rawls to call him “the man with the golden voice” and the Los Angeles Times to describe him as "a stylistically accomplished singer who deserves much more attention."

Every Friday night we'll be opening up to the power of intention - prayer - and presence.
When we gather and share in the collective intention to open to the highest frequencies of our light, we can shine this energy out into the world.
Each episode will start with a brief talk that will help us establish our soul directed intention for the evening's prayer and meditation. I will then guide you through a soul directed medtation.
The beauty of doing these episodes is that you can download them, listen to them throughout the week, and come back to the energy of the meditation and prayer whenever it is needed.

“Soul To Soul,” a passionate new song cycle from vocalist, songwriter, producer and musician Carmen Lundy, is set for release September 23rd, 2014 via Afrasia Productions. “Soul To Soul”, Lundy’s 14th album, is the next chapter in her critically-acclaimed career as both a musical artist and a visual artist; a return to her roots but also an exploration of these roots — and the journey that those roots can take you on. The release of “Soul To Soul” will be accompanied by tour dates both in the U.S. and overseas.
Carmen Lundy began working on “Soul To Soul” well over a year ago in a very hands-on manner — literally composing, co-composing and arranging eleven of the thirteen tracks and then playing and recording all the instruments - including bass, drums, piano, guitar and percussion — in her home studio to get a working “feel” for how the music might sound. She then “sweetened” the songs by adding string sounds and other software instruments to elaborate and experiment with the aural mood of each track, interpreting and identifying with each track’s sound individually as well as part of the overall song sequence. On the final CD, Lundy plays guitar on all tracks, piano and Rhodes on many tracks, and drums on two.
