"Men Talk Monday" Where Have All the Real Men Gone? The Weak American Male

    in Family

Have you noticed American guys being passive and/or too timid to make a move or take the lead? Why are straight men so passive these days? Is it because women became aggressive in business and got used to going after what we want, so suddenly the lazy, no-account men out there realized how much easier it was to lay back and let the woman do all the work? Why should a guy put out the effort and take the risk of expressing interest in a woman, asking her out, taking her out and basically courting her, when all they have to do is dress up in an attention getting way, like women normally do, get a woman’s attention, throw out the bait, lay back, and let her hunt?

While men became passive, women have become masculine and aggressive. Have you seen Jersey Shore? The guys on that show are like women and the women are like men. The guys spend hours on their tan, their hair, their body. They dress up in flashy colors like a girl, shave themselves from head to toe, wear hairspray. So many girls fall all over them. This is not particular to Jersey, this kind of guy is EVERYWHERE now, if not that Affliction-wearing ass clown ilk, then it’s him in a suit, but with the same basic mentality.

Men have come to enjoy being courted rather than doing the courting. They have grown lazy, their character and integrity weakening with each passing year. Men now sit back on their laurels and let women do all the work. Women are taking all the risk, essentially acting as the yin to their yang instead of the other way around. Amazingly, this doesn’t seem to bother men in the least. In fact they love it. Women are calling guys, asking them out, growing a penis, taking charge, all to their own detriment.

On Why Yet's Watch with Ceet the Author and Kvn Tajzea

    in Books

Ceet the Author hails from South Philadelphia, where he began honing his craft as an artist as early as age nine. At age fourteen he wrote a short story for his high school English class titled, Summertime in my Neighborhood. Fifteen years later that story became the basis for Ceet's first official release, 2009's The Whore and The Virgin. The book became an instant hood classic and all of the positive feedback inspired Ceet to release his second effort, A Dog's Day, that very same year.

Ceet then began pursuing another passion of his, filmmaking and videography in 2010 by writing, producing and directing several independent film projects while releasing several more novels under the imprint of BRP Entertainment and with several projects down the line, Ceet shows no signs of slowing down...

Kvn Tajzea (Keh-vun Tah- Jhay) is more than your typical R&B singer, songwriter and actor. Kvn began his love affair with music and acting at a very young age. "I was a very sick child growing up and nearly died a few times. I wasn'treally allowed to play outside until the age of 7 because my immune system was so weak." He read, listened to, and watched a plethora of varying artistic expression. Even after becoming healthy enough to lead the normal life of a kid his passion for the arts continued to grow and manifested itself in a variety of ways ranging from poetry, drawing, songwriting and acting. Kvn is an accomplished vocalist with a four octave range whose smooth, syrupy and comforting voice conceals an old school rasp that lets you in on the pain and tribulation that fuels a tone of hope in every note he sings. "The First Return" is Kvn's debut project featuring the production of hit maker Ron Love of MonaRK Productions.

Join me, Why Yet, as I chat it up with both of these industrious artists.

Canelo vs Miguel Cotto Recap, Klitschko vs Tyson Fury Preview

    in Sports

Rumors have swirled about how many Pay-Per-View buys Saul "Canelo" Alvarez's win over Miguel Cotto pulled in, and so far the news is quite good, if not surprising. It was a solid kinda-middleweight fight, but perhaps not the clash many had hoped for.

The fight that stole all the attention was Francisco Vargas' war with Takashi Miura. In danger of being stopped by a damaged eye, Vargas rallied to end Miura's night in the 9th round. It was an instant "Fight of the Year" contender.

As some may have expected, Guillermo Rigondeaux didn't entertain much on the card.

But this coming weekend we get to see two huge fighters compete for the heavyweight title on in Wladimir Klitschko and Tyson Fury, on HBO. This could be a case of who you think will win and who you want to win being two different things.

Also on the menu, James DeGale fights a comebacking Lucian Bute on Showtime in Quebec City.

All these things and more will be covered by James Foley of Bad Left Hook and The Fight City's Patrick Connor. And probably with too many jokes thrown in.

    On Twitter...
