    in Paranormal

    Ron James

Ron James is a prolific award-winning filmmaker and writer. He is author of the Book "Messiah, Awakenings". He refers to Messiah: Awakenings as an action-adventure for the soul. Ron hosts the online show, “Bigger Questions,” which explores mysteries such as: life after death, our place in the universe and the fusion of science and religion, which he believes is crucial to humanity’s future. He specializes in topics that enrich human understanding. James has covered topics such as: New Science, the Paranormal, Metaphysics and Contemporary Spirituality.  James has won many awards including the EBE Award for ET related films four times. Recent Producer / Unit Director / Camera: The Citizen Hearing on Disclosure, Travis and many others. Among his many awards he was also winner of  EBE Awards Best Picture and People's Choice  2012 and 2015. Indie Books #81 (James Vescovi)

    in Books

Tune in and join me as I welcome this week's guest.

Author James Vescovi joins me this week to talk about his book:: Eat Now; Talk Later: 52 True Tales of Family, Feasting and the American Experience

Prepare yourself for a feast consumed in delicious bites. This collection of stories can be read before bed, on a lunch hour, or waiting in line. They can even be shared with friends who complain they have enough to read. Together they ask the question, "How do you make modern life run smoothly for parents or grandparents who grew up in an era when oxen were used for plowing, children left school after third grade to tend chickens, and meat was eaten only twice a year? When Tony and Desolina Vescovi arrived in America, they collided with the 20th century. Born around 1900, they were stumped by telephones, banks, fast food, TV wrestling, and supermarkets. It was up to their only child, a son, to serve as their shepherd, and it wasn't easy For example, how to explain that his job was taking him and his family 700 miles away when, in their day, sons stayed put to work the family farm? Or that it wasn't wise to hide $10,000 in the bedroom? Or that the ice cream they just tried and enjoyed is called 'Chubby Hubby'? This collection of 52 bite-size stories offers a twist on the American immigrant tale and is a testament to love, loyalty, and frequent half-truths.

    JAMES WILDER INTERVIEW

    in Entertainment

Powerful and versatile actor, James Wilder has been garnering awards and shining reviews in his new independent film, "3 Holes And a Smoking Gun," in which he portrays a duplicitous, washed-up screenwriter. He was named Best Lead Actor at the Red Dirt International Film Festival, Best Actor at the Winter Film Awards and Independent Spirit Award at the Garden State upcoming Film Festival. The film was also awarded the prestigious Grand Jury Prize at the Red Dirt International Film Festival and Best Screenplay honors at L.A.'s Downtown Film Festival.

James Wilder's indelible portrayals include an ambitious lawyer in the Emmy Award-winning drama "Equal Justice." co-starring Sarah Jessica Parker, and the charming but sleazy drug dealing seducer in the series "Melrose Place." The New York Times said "James Wilder, as Carl Isaacs, is a thoroughly malevolent character, one in whom evil, rather than insanity, prevails," regarding his portrayal of serial killer Carl Isaacs in the acclaimed Miramax film, "Murder One."

The multi-talented Wilder started off as a street performer, who took his juggling three chain saws act from San Francisco to New York and Europe. He performed at the legendary Moulin Rouge in his mother's native Paris at the age of 14. He studied at the famed NY Actors Studio . If that isn't enough, Mr Wilder also designs exclusive leather jackets and jewelry, refurbishes vintage furniture that he finds at auctions and flea markets, collects classic cars and commits to acting projects only when it inspires. “3 Holes And A Smoking Gun” is one such project. and is also a formidable architect and clothing and jewelry designer. It seems there is little this dashing actor cannot do.

The End of The African American?

    in Politics

THE END OF THE AFRICAN AMERICAN?

For most of our existence in America, the nation has needed us—for free labor, for cheap labor, for scapegoating and for the raping of our culture.

But America has co-opted Black Culture to the point where it is currently packaging what it deems to be Black Culture and selling it back to us. It has other cultures to use for cheap labor and, of course, we are still scapegoats.

There is no reason for us to exist.

We have been so diminished that we don't want to live around us and many of us think the worst of us.

With no real need for us to exist, it is quite possible that the African American will diminish into irrelevance.

Listen to The Bridge Radio tomorrow at 4pm Pacific as we discuss the future of African Americans. Join Award-Winning Author Darryl James and co-hosts Tracy Powell, Dr. John Hamilton, Marcus D. LeGall III and DJ Gates on one of the most intellectually stimulating shows on radio.
