Hard Starboard Radio: The Brooklyn Shootings & The Oklahoma City Bombing

    in Politics Conservative

How the Brooklyn shootings are like the Oklahoma City bombing; Is Bill de Blasio’s political career over?; Meanwhile, down in Washington, er, Havana, um, Hawaii; Seems like only one side in American politics is ready for guilt-by-association accusations; Which side of the aisle is more racist than the other? It’s not even close; and the Left finally finds itself on the receiving end of "guilt collectivization," may they never get out from under it.

    in Women

    Todays Show:

As we approach the last few weeks of 2014, many of us will begin to think about the changes we would like to make in our lives. While change is often needed, it is often not easy, and usually requires courage and perseverance. Today on Moving Forward in Faith, Terri will be focusing on ways we can successfully deal with change, and how we can use change - even change we wouldn't have chosen - to help us grow on our journey.

    Forgive Before Moving Forward

    in Women

"Forgiveness is the fragrance that the violet sheds on the heel that has crushed it." ~ Mark Twain

A new year is about to come on the scene and you may have some unfunished business to take care of. What kind of business? The rebuilding of some broken bridges that have happened between you and those who have offended you.

Moving into a new phase with old baggage only weighs you down. When you've got the weight of unforgiveness on you, even if it's just for one day, you've robbed yourself of the capacity to receive all the great things that the future has in store for you.

Let's take a crack at setting things right before January 1st, shall we?

Tune in and join us today. We want to help you put away grudges, heal old wounds, and travel into 2015 with a lighter load and a healed heart. Call in, 646-716-6910, or log in to our LIVE chat room during the broadcast.

Dinesh D'Souza on Brooklyn GOP Radio!

    in Politics

You won't believe what Dinesh D'Souza had to say to Brooklyn GOP Radio in an EXCLUSIVE interview that we'll air Wednesday at 9PM!

Dinesh D’Souza has had a 25-year career as a writer, scholar, and public intellectual. A former policy analyst in the Reagan White House, D’Souza also served as John M. Olin Fellow at the American Enterprise Institute, and the Robert and Karen Rishwain Fellow at the Hoover Institution at Stanford University. He served as the president of The King’s College in New York City from 2010 to 2012.

Called one of the “top young public-policy makers in the country” by Investor’s Business Daily, D’Souza quickly became known as a major influencer on public policy through his writings.

Most recently, D'Souza, the creator of 2016: Obama's America, has taken us on a journey of discovery that bringsyou face-to-face with the heroes who built America, in the times in which they lived, bled, and sacrificed in order to build a great nation: Christopher Columbus, George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, Frederick Douglass, and others. You'll be there as Columbus sets foot on American soil, as bullets whiz by in the acclaimed book-turned-film, America.

What he told us about his thoughts of Republican politics today will definitely get your attention! Tune in!

"Brooklyn's" Only Wish- Is To See Brooklyn NY on Candace UnScripted!

    in Moms and Family

I happen to be at a Starbucks getting my regular coffee fix, when I met Jennifer, as we were talking she told me about how she came to believed in miracles when she gave birth to her daughter Brooklyn-Here's what she said-"My daughter Brooklyn, is  6 years old and was born with a rare Genetic Adrenal Disorder which is life threatening and causes her to have a compromised immune system. Simply put, her Pituitary and Adrenal Glands do not function. This causes her to often be sick and in the hospital. There is NO Cure for her condition but she takes medication and shots to keep her alive and healthy. Even after having many scary episodes which causes her life threatening side affects and a few times causing Full Cardiac Arrest, shes a very happy, extremely bright, determined little girl who doesn't have a real understanding of how serious her condition is. Thankfully she hasn't had any major episodes in the past two years and even on the days she's not well enough to go to school she is still determined to do her school work at home. I've started this campaign to make her ONE very simple dream come true while she is still well enough to travel. The one and only thing she's wanted to do in her life is to visit the city of Brooklyn and walk across The Brooklyn Bridge. In her innocent mind she truly thinks the city is named after HER and when I ask if she can have ANY wish in the world her answer is always the same... "Momma I want to go see My city and walk across My bridge." As a single mother of three beautiful children I decided to dedicate my life to them, their education and Brooklyn's health. It was an extreme financial sacrifice to make taking over Brooklyn's care 100% of the time as her Medical Case Manager and her nurse around the clock. All I want for my Daughter is to make this fairly simple dream come true for her.
