We’ve covered this issue before, but feel it’s important to continue discussing how kids today seem to be more advanced than we were while moving through “Childhood to Adulthood”. With the fast and continuous advancement of technology (Internet/Cellphones/iPads/Media), we have to wonder the effects these advancements will be on our children.
After reading the new novel “In the Midst of the Storm: They Call Me Stormi”, by Felecia Poole, I was convinced that we also needed to examine early sexual behavior of children (as early as 9 years old), which most parents are in denial of, or shy away from discussing. We are so pleased to have Author, Felecia Poole, join us to discuss her amazing new novel, and help to discuss how early development of our children, in some cases, can be more harm than good. PARENTS this is a show you cannot afford to miss!

Curious about what millennials are expecting from home design? We're talking with designer Courtney Rogers about designing for millennials. Join us!
We've all heard about the differences between GenX and the generation raised on iPads and on-demand entertainment. And we've seen the stats on how home buying trends have been decreasing among the millennial generation.
So what do designers and remodelers need to know about the millennial generation to attract and retain their interest in our work? We're talking with designer Courtney Rogers, recently recognized as one of the National Kitchen and Bath Association's '30 under 30,' and '40 under 40' for Professional Remodeler magazine.
The 28-year-old Atlanta-based designer specializes in kitchens and baths, and is sharing what we need to know about designing for millennials.
"I'm a passionate, driven, and supremely organized over-achiever who loves my family, my Georgia Bulldawgs, and my creative outlet... design," --Courtney Rogers
Tonite we are going to discuss what maybe the "freebies" given to to students in the public education system. Recently, students in the 9nth grade of the Parsippany District were given ipads. One of the reasons behind the iPad initiative is because New Jersey is rolling out the new “Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers,” or PARCC exam, in the fall of 2014. “For the PARCC exam, students will have to take it on a digital device,” said Haines. Because grades 10-12 will not be provided an iPad, those students will still “be taught skills that will help them with PARCC digital testing.” This has some of the parents in the district up in arms.
