Lets Talk Kingdom w/Catrina-Interview w/Pastor Keithron Powell, Co-Founder IGARA

    in Entertainment

Pastor Keithron Powell was raised in Detroit, MI and is married to Teresa Powell of Beckley, WV. He began playing the drums at age 16 and at age 18, the piano. "Thirty days after receiving my first keyboard I wrote my first song and it was horrible! But I did it and I was so proud of it. I thought the song was awesome but when I showed it to my former pastor (who is an acclaimed songwriter/musician), he explained to me, in a nice way, that the song wasn't that good. What he said was that a song can be anything you make it as the creator, but just because you write it doesn't mean others have to like it. That's how my song writing career began." After moving to Jacksonville, Keith composed a song for the Potter's House International Ministries called "Glory and Honor" which was featured on their CD project, "Yes, He Lives!" He has started a production company, a recording studio, a record label and has produced CD's for Coretta McQueen, and Teresa Powell, his wife. The CD's received a total of 7 nominations for the 2013 Rhythm of Gospel Awards. Coretta's title song "Freedom" won Contemporary Song of The Year and has been featured on both the Steve Harvey and Yolanda Adams' Morning Shows. Keith has written and continues to write jingles, intros/outros for radio and television for numerous companies and ministries, as well as songs for other artists and play wrights. In addition to being a musician he is also a self-published author with 10 books to his credit. He is also co-founder of iGospel Music Radio and the Independent Gospel Artist Radio Alliance (IGARA). Keith is also pastor of Victory In Praise Outreach Ministries, in Jacksonville, FL, founded in 2009.

Cheesehead Radio: The 2010 Packer Season Show Intros

    in Sports

In our first season doing this little live podcast, we never could have imagined we would have been riding the wave of the Green Bay Packers' Super Bowl, as improbably as we might have thought it at certain points in the season.

In this Cheesehead Radio Extra, witness the evolution of creativity as each of the season's intros are strung together, tell their own story of how this season went along (and C.D.'s own struggles to master audio editing).

Huge props must go out to the co-hosts this season, who not only made the show the success it has been, but were great sports as they contributed to many of the show's intros (often with no idea what it was going to end up like until they heard it live). Jersey Al, Holly, John, Jayme, and Alex are as true green-and-gold Packer fans as you will find anywhere on this planet.

A couple of production notes: the original intro that we used pretty much until around around Week 9 of the regular season was completely produced by Alex Tallitsch, one of our original co-hosts. And the singing voice you hear in "Tramon Has It Going On" was guest vocalist Chad Torporski, who did a much better hitting notes than CD does.

It's been a rough week. Krystyna bombed, Corinne dropped some bombs. They both cried.

After one of the more serious intros in Guys We Fucked history, the girls of Sorry About Last Night welcome this week's guest: a former professional escort (yeah, like a fancy prostitute) to shed some light on the often shit upon sex industry. In this rare estrogen-only episode, the 3-some discusses 3-ways (with various gender identity combos), feeling like a dumbass in lingerie, sadistic sex acts, girl crushes, humiliation narratives and reading one's porn.
