William Barber, Sr. Sunrise: April 3, 1907 ~ Sunset: September 14, 1971 "Queen Mother" Annie Mae Barber Sunrise: October 17, 1917 ~ Sunset: December 29, 2007.  Founder and Co-Founder of Mt. Sinai Baptist Church 500 Platt Street Bridgeport, Connecticut 06606. “The Mother Church” of I Believe God Ministries, International. Honor your father and your mother, as the Lord your God has commanded you, so that you may live long and that it may go well with you in the land your God is giving you. (Deuteronomy 5:16) Good people will be remembered as a blessing (Proverbs 10:7) Because someone we love is in heaven, there is a little bit of Heaven in our hearts “Gone But Always Remembered”

Rev. William Barber, Sr. was the Patriarch and “Queen Mother” was the Matriarch of our family. Most importantly, during their lives, they continued to be devoted committed servants of God and a man and woman of prayer, faith, love and power. Rev. Barber and Queen Mother were unequivocally people of integrity, role models of strength, determination, love, perseverance and they also served as mentors to many. They lived through the black history struggle, and continued to make positive strides in their daily Christian service. We are very pleased and thankful to The Mighty God that He blessed our beloved Founder and Co-Founder to see and enjoy their work, fruit and labor of love. Now their work of Ministry certainly follows them!

After the events across America including Florida, Missouri, and Ohio, police-community relations are almost stretched to its limits. Ohio Governor John Kasich , possible GOP 2016 Presidential Candidate, calls for a Task Force to address the widening schism between communities of color and law enforcement. In January 2015, Gov. Kasich asked Amy to be a part of his Task Force.

Amy is joined on the Task Force by 17 others including: former Ohio Supreme Court justice Eva Stratton, Dr. Ronnie Dunn Cleveland State University associate professor, member of the NAACP Criminal Justice Committee, Rev. George Murry Bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Youngstown, and Chief Michael J. Navarre, member of the Ohio Association of Chiefs of Police.

Amy Murray has an extensive history of political involvement and a passion for diving into the issues when it comes to making her city a better place to live and work. As past President of her Neighborhood Council, she worked closely with residents, business and the city to bring about positive change. As member of city council Amy has been committed to more robust job creation and making  a more “business-friendly” city.  Fiscal responsibility, holding our leaders accountable and keeping our neighborhoods safe are her key focus areas.

Encouragement & Inspiration Let's Talk About It, Then Pray About It

"A Spiritual Deeper Life"  You are not an earthly being having a spiritual experience, you are a spiritual being having an earthly experience. We can create the most powerful, successful, joyous, happiest, prosperous, and blessed life possible. Real Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. Love does not demand its own way. Love is not irritable, and Love keeps no record of being wronged. Love does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. Love never gives up, Love never loses faith, Love is always hopeful, and Love endures through every circumstance. Song of Solomon 8:7a Many waters cannot quench love, neither can the floods drown it. Jesus said continue in my love. Three things that will last forever are faith, hope, and love and the greatest of these is Love!!!! God desires us to have a Holistic and a Well Balanced Life!

    Law Enforcement and Race Relations

    in Politics

FBI Director Comey, speaking at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., noted that most police calls for service come from poor, minority communities. The country is "at a crossroads" on matters of race relations and law enforcement. But black or white, he said, “criminal suspects routinely lie about their guilt, and the people we charge are overwhelmingly guilty. ... That makes it easy for folks in law enforcement to assume that everybody is lying and that no suspect, regardless of their race, could be innocent.”

“Black lives matter, Hispanic lives matter,” the crowd called, adding the phrase that became synonymous with protests in Ferguson: “Hands up, don’t shoot.”The rally was led by members of the Zambrano-Montes family, who chanted “El pueblo unido jamás sera vencido” (“The people united will never be defeated”).“The government of Mexico deeply condemns incidents in which force is used in a disproportionate manner, even more so when that use of force leads to loss of life,” the ministry said in a statement.“These unfortunate events cause damage to the community and erode trust in the authorities.”
Witness Ben Patrick told the Tri-City Herald that police fired at the man as his back was turned.'I really thought they were just going walk up and tackle or Taser him,' he said. 'But they opened fire. His back was turned.'
