The Interpersonal Connection ~ Attitude ~

    in Motivation

Inspirational and Encouraging Words of Wisdom, Spirit and Life. "ATTITUDE IS EVERYTHING" Attitude is the way you think. Your attitude is something other people can actually see. They can hear it in your voice, see it in the way you move, feel it when they are with you. Your attitude expresses itself in everything you do; all the time, wherever you are. Positive attitudes always invite positive results. Negative attitudes always invite negative results. Attitude makes a difference every hour, everyday; in everything that you do for your entire life. What you get out of each thing you do will equal the attitude you have when you do it. Anything that you do with a positive attitude will work for you. Anything that you do with a negative attitude will work against you. If you have a positive attitude, you are looking for ways to solve the problems that you can solve, and you are letting go of things over which you have no control. You can develop a positive attitude by emphasizing the good, by being tough-minded, and by refusing defeat.

My vision in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style. “HAPPY BIRTHDAY” Sunrise: April 9, 1948 ~ Sunset: November 9, 2005. Good people will be remembered as a Blessing….Proverbs 10:7. Our Brother Elder William Barber, Jr. loved and served both His God and His Country (1967-1971) in the U.S. Army and served in the Vietnam War. He had enormous passion for senior citizens and the youth. Lord, Help us to remember that like the seasons of the year, Life brings continuous growth and changes. As long as we can remember that, we can look with expectancy to ALL that lies ahead. We can rest in the assurance that You are in control of the Seasons of Our Lives. Our Beloved Mother would always say to us, Children “GOD IS IN CONTROL” Elder William Barber, Jr. always believed in and loved his family. The one who loves God must also love his brother. This bond will never be broken. I John 4:21 ~ Gone But We Remember You ~ We Miss You, Your Loving Family and Friends.

The Interpersonal Connection ~ There Is Hope ~ Part (4)

    in Motivation

Encouragement & Inspiration! Let's Talk About It, Then Pray About It. There Is Hope. Hope is not a sedative; it is a shot of adrenaline, a spiritual blood transfusion." A study of concentration camp survivors found that those prisoners who were able to hold onto their sense of hope ‘things are going to get better’ or ‘we’re going to get out of here one day’ were much more likely to survive. Hope then is not optional but for these prisoners proved to be a matter of life and death. "?But now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love?" 1 Corinthians 13:13   Faith and hope are inseparably linked. We believe and so we hope.  Hope is a confidence born of faith. When we have faith in God, we claim His promises, and they give us hope for the future. This blessed hope is an exciting expectancy because God controls the future. When Jesus Christ is your Savior and your Lord, the future is your friend. You don't have to worry. Our society is characterized by a pervading sense of hopelessness. The Church is not immune to this hopeless feeling. Many who claim to be born again believers in Jesus Christ are searching for fulfillment in life. "Being defeated is often only a temporary condition. Giving up is what makes it permanent."
