Losing a loved-one is a painful and emotional experience. There is no definitive time line for grief as everyone grieves differently. Tune in as I discuss the path from grieving to healing withAnne J. Koller.
After losing her beloved father to a sudden heart attack, Anne embarked on a journely to understand and visualize the deepest emotions of grief and founded The Ashes Project.
The Ashes Project serves as a platform for a broader discussion on loss, life's only certainty and how we heal. Anne is currently developing TAPIN, an immersive, interactive exhibit where you choose the emotional journey you explore and how you interact when you are at the center of your emotions. TAPIN aims to expose emotions once and for all and sheds light on what they are here to teach us.

Our Best Social Media For Business Stories this week TripIT The numbers are massive–Gartner projects that the number of people around the world participating in social networks will grow from 118 million in 2008 to 800 million by 2012. Facebook alone has over 300 million users, which means if it were a country, it would be the fourth largest in the world!
Much like the mobile phenomenon, the most interesting thing about social networking is not its size, but how it is changing human behavior.
...The first services to take advantage of this development have been leisure applications that allow people to interact with their networks using third parties outside their network environment. In the future, we’ll see business applications doing the same thing with business networks like those built on LinkedIn. And Social Media for Business story 2 IFTTT
If it’s more than 30 miles an hour, I know I’m going to either get knocked off my bike (which will hurt) or I will be riding into a headwind and it will be like climbing up to the top of Pike’s Peak. So I have a recipe that texts me when the wind is blowing more than 20 mph and it also tells me from which direction.

Wayne, NJ – For children who struggle emotionally, behaviorally and socially, traditional methods of therapy are less useful for advancing therapists’ understanding of a child’s issues. In recent years, however, alternative therapies such as art therapy and role-playing games have proven remarkably effective. Sometimes it’s as simple as playing a game, reading a book or finishing a puzzle to help children discover new solutions.
“There are many people who work with children and depend only on what they say,” says Dr. Susan Grossbard, “but observing which toys they choose or where they place themselves in the room, for instance, provides me with vital information for how to work with the child.”
A long-time special education teacher and a school psychologist, Dr. Grossbard is the founder of Psychological Solutions, a private practice specializing in children, adolescents and their families.
“I do heads, not meds,” says Dr. Grossbard. “I have a lot of faith in children. When given the chance I believe they can figure it out.
According to Dr. Grossbard, children don’t process information in quite the same way as adults. For children who can’t express themselves verbally, Dr. Grossbard’s playroom helps her interact with the child to develop the necessary trust to begin to figure out what issue the child is struggling with and how best to treat it.
“I have a great deal of respect for children who experience difficulty expressing themselves,” says Dr. Grossbard. “I’ve always been able to reach the unreachable. Even if you don’t know how to express yourself, we can figure it out together.”

“COMMUNICATING ACROSS THE VEIL”
Rev. Dr. Anya Anne Smith of Tahlequah OK has been in communication with her beloved husband Harry since he passed May 27, 2007. Anya Anne’s project/dissertation is on communicating across the Veil. She and her husband have written the book Soulmating Our Journey of Love Through Cancer and Beyond describing their lives both when Harry was here on Earth and now across the Veil. Anya Anne says, “This has been and still is a humbling experience for us. Our Teachers say that we are experiencing this so that we can teach others with one on this side and the other beyond the Veil. The rest of the Journal and the sequel tell this part of our amazing story.”
Anya Anne also says, “the companion workbook Live in the Now is the tool for us to guide and teach others in workshops and on-line.
We now have a website couplesacrosstheveil.com where we are connected with others who are interested in Communication Across the Veil. And now we are adding this radio show Communicating Across the Veil, which will reach a worldwide audience once a week. I will share my experience and expertise. Then I would like for you to share your experiences, comments and question. I encourage you to interact with me live or contact me at our website couplesacrosstheveil.com.
We hope you enjoy the show and become a part of this Sacred Community.

The guys return to the studio! What happened while they were away? Pro Wrestling never stops, especially these days.
WWE recently held their Hell In A Cell PPV in which they crowned a few new champions. But was it enough to satisfy the WWE Universe?
TNA continues to stumble here and there. With the recent announcement of their return to the "Impact Zone" in Universal Studios Orlando, FL many are wondering, is this a sign of defeat? TNA doesn't think so. Their "24/7 Creative initiative" looks to capitalize on their return and the available resources.
All of this and more on this return episode!

Wichita, KS – Visit your local pharmacy to pick up a prescription and most likely it will come with information warning you how the drugs may interact with other drugs you take. Though this information seems basic, it is extremely necessary. If a doctor makes a mistake, the consequences could be severe.
35 years ago the understanding of how drugs interact with each other wasn’t as sophisticated as it is today. This was also true in most of the state of Kansas. That changed when Virginia “Ginger” French became the first doctor of pharmacy in the state of Kansas.
“There used to be a saying: ‘If you’re going to Kansas, set your watch back 20 years,’" says French. "Pharmacy departments were very different then. It wasn’t as scientific as it is now, which put people at risk for no reason”
A trailblazing pharmacist and educator, French has personally seen the evolution of her field. In many ways she has been responsible for it.
“You have to be very detail oriented to be a good pharmacist. It requires precise calculations,” says French. “I’m just fascinated by this information and I want to do the right thing so I put the time into it. I also enjoy sharing what I have learned.”
As a doctor of pharmacy (or PharmD), French understood the chemistry and the physiology, the drug and the patient. She bears the distinction of being the first clinical pharmacist ever to round with physicians in Kansas, as far as she knows.
Though an injury forced Dr. French to resign from her position in late 2010, today she is a seasoned investor for French and French, LLC, applying the same scientific approach to her investments she did as a PharmD. French’s portfolio includes some major pharmaceutical companies as well as companies developing speculative drugs that could one day help millions.
There is a sin problem in this world. The good news is while this sin problem has been around from the time of Adam and Eve, God dealt with the sin problem once and for all. There are no more Old Covenant animal sacrifices. Far greater than merely covering our sins, God took them away. " Behold the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world. " We should also never forget that fact or take this lighlty that " God made Him (Jesus) who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. " Jesus became sin and we became the righteousness of God! The problem of sin between us and God has been taken care of forever! So why do we keep sinning and how does our God deal with our sin? Does God deal with our sin as a judge or as a Father? When we sin, and all of us still do, our fellowship with God is broken. Does this mean we are out on the streets thrown out of God's family? How does God deal with us individually according to our sins? Tonight ( Wednesday Night) @ 9:30-10:30 PM on the SOW Show ( Sharing Our Walk) with host John Fougeray we discuss - Saved For Son-ship And Fellowship With God.
