Intellectual Property - The Wealth Equalizer

    in Real Estate

Today on "It's My House" we shall  continue our exploration of 'Intellectual Property" and how ANYONE can create wealth and create money from the Intellectual Property that they PERSONALLY create on a daily basis.

Here is some food for thought:

What do the following people have in common ?:

    Master P
    Berry Gordy
    Jay Z
    Tyler Perry
    Madame C.J. Walker
    John H. Johnson

All of these people became wealthy via INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY and then selling the fruit of their minds for a profit.

Addressing Chronic Pain in Adults & Kids with Intellectual Disabilities

    in Health

Children and adults with intellectual or developmental disability may not be able to always tell you that they are experiencing pain, but it’s our responsibility to understand there are many reasons that people with ID/DD are experiencing pain. In this episode of Pain Waves Radio by Pain BC, Dr. Beverley Temple discusses how we can improve the quality of life of those with ID/DD by addressing the issue of chronic pain.

Dr. Temple is an Associate Professor with the University of Manitoba, Faculty of Health Sciences, College of Nursing and a Researcher with the St. Amant Research Centre. Her research focuses on support of people with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities and Autism and their families.

This episode is generously co-sponsored by the Kootenay Community Council. The Kootenay Community Council, and other Community Councils around the province, work with Community Living BC (CLBC) to ensure accountability to communities, to inform CLBC of local trends and innovation, and to act in an advisory role at the local and regional levels. Community Living BC is the Crown Corporation that provides funding to support adults who are living with developmental disabilities in BC.

You can access the Non-Communicating Adult Pain Checklist mentioned in the episode on Pain BC's website. Find more resources to support you on the St,Amant website and the Surrey Place Centre website.

Please note we are no longer taking calls to Pain Waves Radio by Pain BC.

Intellectual Coitus - Where Have All The Good People Gone?

    in Comedy

    Well, let's try this again.

I had originally scheduled this show for yesterday but was experiencing audio issues that turned out to be my fault. Seems I was a bit premature in starting the podcast and nothing was actually being played. Not the first time I shot too quick.

In this episode, Reverend Zesty talks about the side effects of medication and the shortage of good people in the United States.

Intellectual Coitus is a weekly podcast that debuted on January 1, 2015 on Podcast Revolution Since that time, the response has been better than expected and we now offer a FREE monthly eZine and we are also working on our YouTube channel.

As an independent media source using sarcasm and humor, Intellectual Coitus was created by and for our patrons. Our mission: to share the REAL word beyond our core or choir to those who didn’t know they gave a shit any longer.

We’re about “the mindful life” - thinking outside the box, sustainability, conscious consumerism, active citizenship, the arts,  enlightened education…really, anything that helps us to live a good life that also happens to be good for others, and our planet, without the delusional beliefs we are indoctrinated in since birth.

Social Isolation/Intellectual Isolation; Reaching fulfillment apart from world.

    in Psychology

Examining methods of coping and what impact we can make on our own world apart from society.  Is it a reaction or choice to be isolated?

We apply principles of individual social isolation to a comparitive blueprint of an intellectual theory by Mohammed al-Sanduk as described below:

Intellectual self-isolation and the prospects of constructing a culture - 1

    Mohammed al-Sanduk

Human thought constitutes the basis upon which a society is built, whether the society be primitive and enveloped in totemistic thinking or at the pinnacle of a culture where scientific thought plays a pioneering role in its construction and direction. Similarly it is difficult to make a distinction between thought and society as an agent of it, since both parties mutually influence each other.

Baruch Spinoza: pioneer of the Enlightenment and modern Biblical criticism

From the mediaeval period to the present day Europe passed through various intellectual and social phases. These phases collectively formed the basis of the current social and intellectual situation and provided the basis for the dynamic of social development. Some of the most important phases whose echoes we still hear today are those which are termed the Age of Enlightenment (1650-1700) the Industrial Revolution (1750-1850) and the humanitarian movements. The Age of Enlightenment in Europe began around the 18th century when philosophy of rationalism initiated its role in motivating society and providing the impulse towards the strengthening of science.
