So many people think about creating change in their lives and their relationships to change. Unfortunately, many expect these things to change as the result of a miracle. When we want change in our lives, we have a responsibility to ourselves to be instrumental in creating that change. We can find excuse after excuse to stay stuck and not create the changes we desire and often need, out of our own fears, insecurity or instability. On the other hand, when we do create change, we can often become impatient, expecting the changes to happen overnight. Tonight we will discuss creating the changes you want in your life, what to expect from those changes and why it can take a while to reflect these changes in our lives. REAL CHANGE takes time... do you have what it takes to change your life for the better?

It seems like Americans are more concerned with what Miley Cyrus is doing/wearing than the fact we're going into another war in the Middle East. It's not a question of if but when.

Creating Coherence, Accelerating Change . . . One Heart at a Time 2012 was probably the most highly anticipated year in world history. Many believe it heralded the dawning of a new age and a massive shift in global consciousness. Looking at the world around us, with its continuing wars, corruption, hate, anger, and greed, one could be forgiven for thinking that not much has changed. But there is one organization that can offer us some concrete evidence of this long awaited shift in consciousness. This week Sandie’s welcomes author, business executive, and speaker Howard Martin who played a key role in launching the Global Coherence Initiative, a science-based, co-creative project dedicated to uniting people in heart-focused care and intention, to facilitate the Shift in global consciousness from instability and discord to balance, cooperation and enduring peace. Topics will include: *The latest evidence abut the heart’s intelligence *The power of our attention and intention *How we can develop our intuition *Some simple things we can all do to increase our personal coherence and to help *create more global coherence? http://glcoherence.org

I'm welcoming back, my friend, and business partner, Edward Cobau, whose lived and worked in Syria...so, we'll be talking about this part of the world that seems to be on everyone's radar.
The instability of this region has left no room for implementing sustainabilty measures, or is the other way around?
People are no different...we all need to be connected with others. We all need the benefits of the planet's natural resources, and we all need financial stability, but is this way of Western thinking welcomed in the Middle East?
We'll be talkin' trash and making discoveries into this region of the world that seems to always be in termoil, so please join us as we learn that there is hope for the people of Syria.

We all desire a trouble free life, but that’s simply not how this present reality operates!
Remember Jesus said in John 16:33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in Me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. And we are facing TRIBULATION! From the Luciferian crisis in Syria planned to spark WWIII fortold by Albert Pike over 150 years ago and currently being promulgated by the NWO elite, to the severe weather, economic instability and virtual economic collapse, to the signs in the heavens, Jesus is coming and He’s coming soon!
And on top of it all perhaps it's a troubling time in your personal life right now as well. And you may feel as if God isn't listening or is indifferent to your situation, but that's not the case! God has a plan and He IS in control, so trust Him! All this TRIBULATION has a purpose! Now these days truly ARE evil but we are to commanded to redeem the time and not simple sit around wallowing in despair!
So, when the Bible says, “Redeeming the time,” In Ephesians 5:16, Paul’s speaking of more than just the days, hours, and minutes; he’s really speaking of the opportunities that we all have. And this means that we need to see time, not just as something that's passing, but as an incredible opportunity. Therefore when you’re redeeming time, what you’re really redeeming is opportunity. The Bible says, “the days are evil,” but we are to be buying up the opportunity. So Paul's telling us is how to live wise ways for evil days. This very important message reveals that time is a PROVIDED, PRESENT, PRECIOUS, and PASSING opportunity.
So tune in and learn how and why to redeem the time before it’s too late!

This week on Fieldstone Common, Marian Pierre-Louis interviews author James Redfearn about the 1919 Boston Police Strike.
Leading up to 1919 the Boston Police were working long hours for very little pay. In the post WWI era America was rocked by instability, the growth of labor and suffrage movement and the Red Scare. The mostly Irish police force was at odds with the Brahmin state leaders. The showdown led to chaos on the streets of Boston and helped pave the way for Calvin Coolidge, then governor of Massachusetts, to the White House.
We'll talk about how James Redfearn researched the historical event for use in his novel, The Rising and Roxbury Crossing.
James Redfearn, author of the Irish American historical saga, The Rising at Roxbury Crossing, has been an industrial-commercial photographer, a Massachusetts State Trooper and an investigator for a Boston law firm. He graduated from Harvard University with an ALM in Literature and Creative Writing. His stories have been published in the University’s Charles River Review and the New England Writers Network. He was raised in the Mission Hill neighborhood of Boston and now resides with his wife, Gail, west of the city where he enjoys his four children and eight grandchildren.
In 1971, he began a twenty-one year career with the State Police, serving as a patrol officer, criminal investigator and academy instructor. He has lectured on investigative research methods at national Law Enforcement conferences.

Patient Compliance for Transplant Caregivers A huge factor in having a successful, long-living transplant is compliance. Patient compliance with transplants can dictate whether a transplant will survive. Bad compliance could even prevent someone from receiving a transplant. There are many different factors that go into a successful transplant: medication compliance, compliance with nutrition, doctors appointments, insurance, finances, etc. You may wonder how you can help with the patient's compliance. You may also feel stress due to monitoring the compliance of the patient in addition to providing so much other care.
In 1980 Beck and colleagues completed a study about medication compliance in pediatric renal transplant patients. The study found that initially 26 percent of participants were non-compliant with their medication regimen post-transplant, and after extensive counseling and education 19 percent remained non-compliant with their medication regimen. Factors they found associated with non-compliance were adolescence, female sex, and family instability. Though this study was completed over 30 years ago, it still shows that with family stability, transplant medication compliance may improve.
A different study completed in 1999 by Dew and colleagues found that after heart transplants, focusing on patients' psychosocial status improved medication compliance which will further improve physical health outcomes. This study helps show that by working with the patient and family post-transplant to ensure their psychosocial status is stable may assist in prolonging their life. This can be done in many ways, including counseling for mental health illnesses, assistance with insurance and financial issues, and even assisting in family issues.
Tonight we'll discuss "Non-Compliance for heart transplant. The Anthony Stokes issue. Is it race or not meeting the requirements.Call in now.

Our incredible special guest tonight is Dr. Alicia Semaka, a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of British Columbia. She received her MSc in Genetic Counseling in 2005 and her PhD in Medical Genetics under the supervision of Dr. Michael Hayden at the Centre for Molecular Medicine & Therapeutics in 2012. Her doctoral research focused on intermediate alleles for Huntington disease. Using a unique, multidisciplinary methodology that combined molecular and qualitative techniques, she generated new data on the frequency, haplotype, and CAG repeat instability of intermediate alleles and explored patient understanding and genetic counseling practices regarding intermediate allele predictive test results. Her research findings fill a significant gap in our knowledge on intermediate alleles and have important implications for predictive testing.
We will be discussing an overview of her research relating to implications for genetic counseling/predictive testing and the HD community and background information on intermediate alleles, CAG size range, repeat instability and factors that influence instability. Also topic for discussion, two family history case studies.
