We've seen a lot of balance training devices, but none as versatile and challenging (as you want to make it) as the Indo Board. Created by longtime surfer Hunter Joslin as a training device for when there's no surf, it's now used by athletes throughout sports as a way to improve core strength, balance, and proprioception. Hunter joins us in this episode of The Fitness Buff.

“Back on Board: Greg Louganis” is an intimate portrait of the public triumphs and private struggles of trailblazing openly gay athlete Greg Louganis. In this episode, Nicholas Snow presents his coverage of Greg at the 2015 Palm Springs International Film Festival, and offers an encore presentation of a previous red carpet inter view with the Olympian.
A refreshingly candid documentary film about this four-time Olympic champion, “Back on Board” follows Greg Louganis over the past three years as he struggles with financial security and reunites with the sport he once dominated but not welcomed in. The threat of losing his house during the recent financial crisis forces Louganis to re-evaluate the choices, relationships, and missed opportunities of his career.
With unprecedented access, the film reveals the complicated life of an athlete whose grace, beauty, and courage sparked a worldwide fascination with diving. It chronicles Louganis’ rise from a difficult upbringing to nearly universal acclaim as the greatest diver ever, and from pioneering openly gay athlete with HIV to an overlooked sports icon. “Back on Board” is the engrossing story of an American legend as he re-emerges on the world stage to combat prejudice, promote tolerance, and return to the diving world after a long period of absence to act as a mentor to the next generation.

In this segment of the Vince Anello Show, Niagara Falls city Council Chair Andy Touma discusses issues and challenges facing the city. He stated that the issue of the frozen water lines in various parts of the city especially on 72nd St. will be addressed before the end of construction season.
In his remarks he pointed to the issue of the city's finances and that something needs to be done to address the high rate of increase of the cost of city operations.
I stated that there should be a public forum of the public officials who have the authority to appoint members of the Niagara Falls water board which include the governor, our senator, our assemblyman, mayor of the city Niagara Falls and the Council chair of the city Niagara Falls. Also, at the forum, the five members of the Niagara Falls water board should be present. Chairman Touma stated that he liked the idea and that he would try to move forward.
During his 25 year career in insurance, David L. Brown learned firsthand the challenges of running a small business. Including the number one reason businesses fail, which is failure to understand their market and their customers’ buying habits. David became a student of marketing, and knocked it out of the park with his first campaign, which brought in 20% more sales. When fellow agents saw the results, they said, “Hey Dave, you should be teaching this stuff.” This led him to write his book From the Bottom Up: The Ultimate Guide for Business Planning to Profitability. In 2012 David left the insurance business and started his own consulting business, D Brown & Company, pursuing his passion of marketing and helping others.
David is a firm believer in serving his community. He became a member of a volunteer board of directors for a community health center in 1987 and worked his way up the ladder becoming President of the Board of Directors for nearly 20 years. During his tenure the organization grew from a small health center to 4 locations in two counties with a budget over $11 million dollars. He was elected President of the Michigan Primary Care Association for two terms. He has also served on the Board of Directors of the National Association of Community Health Centers. David’s work has earned him several awards from both the State and National Associations.
As his book title says, David knows what it’s like to learn “From the Bottom Up,” from starting a business to being President of a multi-million dollar organization. A consummate professional, David’s marketing skills continue to increase his client’s businesses by 20-25%.

The Obama Administration and Congress have been at odds for months over a major overhaul of U.S. Corporate tax laws. Everyone seems to agree that something should be done but how will small business owners benefit?
Raymond J. Keating who serves as chief economist with the Small Business & Entrepreneurship Council (SBE Council), a nonpartisan, nonprofit small-business advocacy group, says corporate tax reform alone won't get the job done and instead insists it has to be comprehensive across the board tax reform. Keeting, who talks with host Kelly Scanlon, maintains small business owners who employee 55 percent of the private sector workforce and earn more than 60 percent of net business income shouldn't be ignored.
Keeting writes, speaks and testifies on a wide range of issues affecting the entrepreneurial sector of the economy.
