Mama Mia NO Sharia with Vito Esposito and AL

    in Politics Conservative

In the wake of a horrific and senseless terrorist attack in Paris, France this past Friday, it is time to define and identify the enemy. The Islamic State of Iraq and Syria acronym is ISIS. It's Daesh, It's ISIL, It's Islamic Jihadists. Saying and Using Islamic State does not blur any lines between Muslims and Islamists

Make no bones about it the Islamic State is Islamic

They've established their state of terror in Iraq and Syria

The Islamic State is Islamic - The Quran is their Constitution

    Mohammed is their Prophet

    Allah is their God

Instilling fear into the hearts of the disbelievers is the goal

Quran Chap 9 v5: "So when the forbidden months are passed, so kill the polytheists wherever you find them, and take them as captives and beseige them and lay wait for them iwith everykind of ambush, so if they repent and perform theprayer and give the legal alms, so leave their way free.

Quran Chap 9 v20: "Those who believed and emigrated and performed jihad for the sake of all with their money and their lives of the highest degree with allah, and those are the triumphant.

If Muslims are so offended by the Islamic State of Iraq & Syria, why didn't they take to the streets of Paris or Rome or NYC or Toronto or London and demand this terror stop? No we did not see one muslim march for peace, only the attempt to redefine Islam. We now have forced refugee resettlement and not one of the 57 Islamic States have stepped in or up to take their refugee brothers & sisters. This isn't about refugee resettlement as much as it is about the spreading of Islam. There is nothing indiginous about resettling muslim Syrians in a non-muslim country.

Join us this evening at 6pm EST where we may or may not be broadcasting from Little Falls NY.   God Bless the people of France, God Bless our Troops and God Bless America!

The Indigenous Vote and Election 42 - A game changer?

    in Politics

The Harper decade has had no progress for Canada's Indigenous peoples. Just ceremony & pronouncements. Monumental studies have been released. There has also been the "First Nations Financial Transparency Act", a failed First Nations education bill and the steamroller of C-45 in 2012 that inspired Idle No More.

The fastest growing "demographic" or division in the population of Canada is Indigenous peoples. First Nations, Inuit and Metis peoples have a healthy birth rate. The number of Indigenous people legally eligible to vote in the general election has never been higher. The First Nations vote has become a factor, in theory, in this election.

Dr. Judith Sayers is a mother of two and was the elected Chief of Hupacasath First Nation for 14 yrs, Chief Negotiator for 15 yrs. Her educational background includes Business and Law degrees and an honorary Doctorate in Law. She has practised law for 18 years and fought for First Nations rights and title.

Rachel Ann Snow is Nakoda Sioux from Mini Thni, a mother of four, a legal scholar, resercher, analyst and consultant specializing in Indiginous law issues. She has over 20 years experience in administration and policy at management level.

Tanya Kappo is from the Sturgeon Lake Cree Nation and has been actively involved in community building efforts including advancing an Indigenous rights agenda in her professional life and her personal life. A graduate of the University of Manitoba law school, she is the Co-Lead for the National Collective of Walking With Our Sisters.

Hayden King is Pottawatomi and Ojibwe from Beausoleil First Nation on Gchimnissing (Christian Island) in Huronia, Ontario.  At Ryerson University, he is the Director of the Centre for Indigenous Governance in the Faculty of Arts; Assistant Professor in the Dept of Politics & Public Administration.

Tune in for a real debate on both sides of this issue.

Once again, Canada goes from leader to bad joke on refugees, by Emperor's design

    in Politics

On February 6, 2014 the Harper government introduced C-24 The Strengthening Canadian Citizenship Act. This bill, now law of the land, changes core aspects of Canadian citizenship as we know it.

In Canada, citizenship had always been secure. Whether born here or an immigrant, once you were granted Canadian citizenship, you were secure. That is no longer the case. Gone is the Federal Court hearing if citizenship was being questioned. Gone is the appeal process. Now a bureaucrat will decide and inform you by mail, end of story.

New immigrants will have to wait longer before they can apply. Qualifications have been changed that seem to put some at a disadvantage. Application fees have been tripled. Despite organizations who have sponsored immigrants for generations being ready, willing and able to perform their purpose, the government has choked off their ability to do so.

The line between immigrant and refugee has been blurred at best, removed at worst by the Harper government. The world community has no explanation for this step backwards. United Nations High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR) has stated that Canada is regressing at an alarming rate. Why? Well, from 2012 to 2014, some $350 million has been returned to the treasury unspent by the Citizenship and Immigration ministry. Processing time for "Express Entry" employer driven requests average six months. Dependent children overseas is 18 months. Family members overseas is more than 30 months. Basic medical needs such as pre-natal care, heart medication and even insulin is now deemed "excessive" for those caught in the system. Money and fear is once more the motivating sales pitch.

This is a country of immigrants apart from indiginous peoples. How many of our own ancestors would be denied today by this fascist system of the CPC? Is this your Canada? Listen, chat, call in and contribute.

The View Up Here and Pam Palmater talk C-51 and who the real terrorists are

    in Politics

Bill C-51 The Anti-Terrorism Act of 2015, as it is called by the Harper government, has generated more discussion, protest, trepidation, calls for abandonment and well founded fear than any other piece of legislation from Emperor's regime. The threats to rights and freedoms of all Canadians are real and visible. Respected voices such as Micheal Geist, Craig Forcese, Kent Roach, Elizabeth May and others have sounded the alarm. But the threats to indiginous peoples are far more pronounced and close to reality than any others. First Nations have upheld their end of Treaties with the Crown in memoriam while successive settler governments have neglected, ignored and subverted them.

Pam Palmater is a Mi'kmaw leader and member of the Eel River Bar First Nation. She has worked for the federal Ministries of Justice and Aboriginal & Northern Affairs. She has been a candidate for National Chief of the Assembly of First Nations. She is a lawyer, professor and chair of the Indiginous Governance program at Ryerson University. Pam has been a vocal supporter of Idle No More and numerous programs to involve and engage settlers and aboriginals alike to create the environment for the nation to nation equal allies that the Treaties promise. But the Harper government continues to move further and further away from that possibility.

The View Up Here has spent a long time trying to fit into Pam's busy schedule and are very honored to have her guest on the show and explain how First Nations are the potential primary targets of C-51. It has been said many times on this show that the only people left in Canada with any say on their air, water and land are First Nations. Now Emperor seeks to use false fear to try and steal these constitutionally guaranteed rights from the first people to inhabit these lands.

Join us and find why settlers should support First Nations peoples to defend us all.

The View Up Here talks First Nations, Federal law and the deception on us all

    in Politics

The View Up Here looks at the avalanche of Federal laws from Emperor and the Corporate Pacification Committee (CPC) aimed specifically at First Nations and indirectly at all Canadians as they try the old divide and conquer game once more. The novelty this time is the dividing is mostly aimed at First Nations themselves in some instances. The attempt to turn non-Indiginous Canadians against First Nations is not new however, far from it.

First Nations Financial Transparency Act (Bill C-27)

First Nations Control of First Nations Education Act (Bill C-33)

Don't these sound noble and enabling? We've seen this act from Emperor consistently. Like the "Fair Elections Act" and the "Protecting Canadians From Online Crime Act". Neither of which do anything like the title claims.

Joining me will be Rachel Snow, an Indiginous consultant, researcher and analyst who is legally trained with more than 20 years experience involving all matters First Nations related. Also joining me will be Judith Sayers, a former Chief of Hupacaseth First Nation, a professor at University of Victoria, a business and law degree holder (doctorate of law), negotiator, consultant and honored Bora Laskin Fellowship of Human Rights winner.

What does the future hold for the Assembly of First Nations? Has self-governance for First Nations gotten closer or further from reality under the Harper regime? What role does the Federal Court and the Supreme Court have in the scheme of things? We will talk about all these things and where the CPC gang is trying to steer Turtle Island and all of its inhabitants. There is only one group left that has any say over the air, land and water. And that group is First Nations.

The View Up Here looks forward to comment from two such highly qualified guests. And you are invited to join us. Listen in, join the chat room, or call in and contribute. Miigwetch.

Universal Intelligence, Creating Champions for Life, Pachamama and Music

    in Self Help

Dr. Amellia Kemp Ph.D. was unable to join Ilene for today's show. Dr. Kemp will join us at another time to discuss her book "From Psychotherapy to Sacretherapy".

Instead, Ilene took to the airwaves to discuss her newest projects, incuding: her work as a mentor for Accessing UI, in which Mentors access their "higher self" to assist others access their own "higher selves" and gain a clearer path to a successful life. Ilene also told us about her work as a Resident Expert with the CCFL, Creating Champions for Life group. Lastly, a real treat as Ilene talked about some of the amazing work of her children, including son Jonathan Lambert as a successful IT professional who has become an Accessing UI Mentor; and daughter Robin Fink and her work with the Jungle Mama program (part of the Pachamama experience in the jungles of Ecuador, partnering with indiginous people to understand and further each other's cultures. Ilene also gave us some insight into daughter Rebekka Fink's musicial success in the U.S. and in Ecuador and her work as she has joined her sister in the jungles. We've all enjoyed the intro and outro music for this show, Full Power Living. Our bumper music was written and performed in an earlier body of work by "Bekka's Frogland Orchestra".

The View Up Here talks #MMIW and other CPC travesties

    in Politics

Over 1,100 missing and murdered indiginous women. From all regions. From all socio-economic classes. The United Nations has even chastised the CPC for ignoring this abomination. The demand for action continues to grow. Despite the seeming concern for cats and police dogs, human beings are of no consequence to Emperor Harper apparently. We will look at some glaring failures of governance on this topic.

Also, updates on the dishonesty of C-13, the fake "Cyberbullying" Act and C-23, the "Fair" Elections Act. Throw in the reluctance to accept recommendations for punishing corporations responsible for oil spills, the junta of Emperor had another average week.
