Education is a funny thing, in almost any area. What happens in marketing a business at times is overload and it either leads to an almost paralyzing state or it can be something that causes us to throw “stuff” on the wall to see what sticks. This can be dangerous to say the least when we’re dealing with budgeting advertising dollars and as the world moves toward the Internet to find what they want, the task can be somewhat daunting.
So instead of interviewing someone today, we’re going to get a crash course in online marketing, and learn what some of these acronyms mean but more importantly, what they mean to you and your business if you own a local business, are an entrepreneur, have a non-profit, or are even an artist and want to have an online presence locally for yourself and/or your entity.
So a few things that will be covered will be SEO, VSEO, PPC, and what being on Page One of Major Search Engines really means for your local business in today’s world of instant gratification driven decision making processes.
Good stuff, and we’ll also get to hear some music from a local guitarist, Alberto Dal Pino to help us relax and take a deep breath. Alberto is and amazing songwriter and musician who plays locally in the Conejo Valley.
In his interview Don Levy will be sharing information on TEDxConejo, the Conejo Valley’s forum for ideas worth sharing. Now in its 3rd year and produced in association with the Conejo Valley Unified School District, TEDxConejo is developing into an exciting community of thinkers, and doers, interested and interesting people of all ages and backgrounds. Each year hundreds gather for a day of stimulating short talks and engaging discussion. The program is as diverse as the interests of the audience.
Under the theme Together, the 3rd Edition of TEDxConejo explores the always fascinating, often inspiring, occasionally surprising and sometimes vexing interconnectedness of our world. Join us when we get together on March 31st, 2012 at the Scherr Forum in the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza.
