He is interviewed regularly on America’s most popular health television programme because of his dedication to finding the underlying root cause of illnesses. HELP! What To Do When You Have Anxiety, Depression or Bad Thoughts

    in Health

One of the big issues I constantly hear with people suffering with PFS is the terrible feeling that accompanies it.  So many are dealing with stress, anxiety, depression and even suicidal thinking.  What can you do about it when you are in those bouts of low level moods.

Find out how one person who has PFS is handling it.  I'll be sharing my stories, and how I have "coped" with some of the anxiety, panic attacks and low moments.

**PLEASE NOTE: This is not medical advice whatsoever! If you are having mental distress, please contact your medical doctor or please see a licensed therapist.

Post-finasteride syndrome is a devastating condition that afflicts men who’ve taken finasteride for hair loss (under the Propecia brand) or enlarged prostate (Proscar). Persistent symptoms include loss of libido, erectile dysfunction, depression, suicidal ideation, anxiety, panic attacks, Peyronie’s disease, penile shrinkage, gynecomastia, muscle atrophy, cognitive impairment, insomnia, severely dry skin, and tinnitus. Many victims suffer economic hardship due to job loss, and emotional distress due to the breakup of marriages and romantic relationships. PFS has also been linked to suicides. No one knows how many men are living with PFS, but experts estimate there are hundreds of thousands of cases worldwide. While there’s currently no cure for PFS, clinical research offers hope that effective treatments will be developed in the coming years. Until then, “PFS Global Support,” hosted by Amir Karkouti, is here to provide a weekly gathering place where victims and their loved ones can share information and offer mutual support.

What are suicidal thoughts? What is suicidal ideation?

    in Entertainment

    Excerpt from  Medical News Today.

    http://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/193026.php

Suicidal thoughts, also known as suicidal ideation are thoughts about how to kill oneself, which can range from a detailed plan to a fleeting consideration and does not include the final act of killing oneself. The majority of people who experience suicidal ideation do not carry it through. Some may, however, make suicide attempts. Some suicidal ideations can be deliberately planned to fail or be discovered, while others might be carefully planned to succeed.

According to a Finnish study, over one fifth of people who actually died by suicide had discussed their aim with a doctor or other health care professional during their last session.

USA - according to the FDA (Food and Drug Administration), there are about 30,000 completed suicides in America each year, an annual incidence of 0.01%. 80% of suicides are among males. Suicide is the third leading cause of death among 15 to 24 year olds. Twenty per cent of all suicides are among this age group.

    Interview: Jon Wuebben of ContentLaunch

    in Marketing

I'm pretty excited about this podcast, our first in our new podcast studio at DK New Media! Jon Wuebben has been a long-time friend, we seem to bump into each other at every conference and love hanging out together. He's also an entertaining singer, the life of the dance floor, and can do a heck of a job on Karaoke.

Jon is a multi-book author and helps clients develop content strategies, deploy their content, and promote their content online. The frustrations of the industry led him to develop his own platform, ContentLaunch, for planning, coordinating, publishing and promoting content. It's primary focus is on the small and mid-size business market since Jon saw the industry only providing large, expensive, enterprise products to handle the process.

In the first half, we speak quite a bit about the platform, but the second half of the interview gets into some incredible detail on content marketing strategies and its use to build relationships with your prospects and customers. Be sure to listen - we've got great information throughout and will leave you with a task that will transform your content ideation strategy.

A Doctor's Journey From PFS to Helping Other Men

    in Health

Dr. Bruhin has his own story of how Propecia impacted his life and how his own recovery from PFS is on-going. As a fellow PFS sufferer, Dr. Bruhin realized that there were limited resources anywhere for men diagnosed with PFS. Dr. Bruhin understands the serious impact to self-esteem and self-worth that can occur from Post-Finsterdide Syndrome. PFS also can create huge problems in relationships due to loss of sex drive and can have lasting impact on marriages. Countless tales of impending breakups and divorce can be found on www.propeciahelp.com. With little to know help for men all over the world, Dr. Bruhin has begun to outreach to the many men wounded by this disorder. Dr. Bruhin provides emotionally supportive psychotherapy, marital counseling, and professional support to men working to get their medical doctors on-board with understanding the complex mental symptoms associated with PFS. Dr. Bruhin has researched and studied PFS for over 2 years and uses his knowledge base as well as his personal experiences to help and empower men going through the difficult recovery of Post-Finsteride Syndrome.

Dr. Bruhin utilizes several methods in his therapy with sufferers from PFS. Mindfulness, dialectical therapies, cognitive behavioral therapies, as well as several relational therapies are useful in recovering lost self-confidence, repairing often fragmented and damaged marital and family relationships, and working to grieve and cope with the loss associated with PFS. Dr. Bruhin is available on-line through SKYPE sessions or is available for individual, couple, and family therapy sessions at his offices located in San Diego California.

EP: 33 The Danger with Saw Palmetto with My Guest James

    in Health

James  had PFS for over 10 years now. He got it by taking Saw Palmetto (another 5ar inhibitor).

For the first 4 or so years he did not even know he had PFS.  He just throught he had some weird form of asexuality and CFS or some chronic virus. Over the past few years he has made some pretty good improvements through self treatment.

He had previously spent over $20,000 of 10+ doctors and hundreds of medications. He currently has a girlfriend, yet still has major sexual issues, and absolutely ZERO libido. He also doesn't respond to androgens at all.

Listen here to find out more about his story.
