After his trip last month to attend both the Japan Gaming Congress in Tokyo and G2E Asia in Macau, AGEM Executive Director Marcus Prater ponders the question of why gaming expansion so often seems so difficult. The most recent case in point was proposed legalization of gaming in Japan.
We are an impatient people. We are always in a hurry, and we often find ourselves getting extremely irritated with anyone whom we believe is slowing down our progress toward achieving our world transforming goals. A few weeks ago, I had to intervene when a retired man physically threatened a young female checker at Sam's Club. Her "crime?" Having to wait for a supervisor because the customer before Mr. Important decided she didn't want what had been rung up and walked away. What's up? What in the world is going on? We'll discuss it today!

Jerry, his brother and Mom spent a good deal of their life on the run from a violent Father; moving from city to city, changing names, schools, friends and keeping secrets. He desperately needed a sense of belonging and found drugs, alcohol and instant friends at age 14. His use was way short of normal right out of the gate. By age 16 he had gone to his first AA meetings. He left in a hurry and didn’t get back for close to twenty years. In between were numerous disastrous relationships, experimentation with just about everything, crushing depression and a never ending search for that elusive sense of belonging. After a number of attempts at sobriety he finally found his real home. Join us this week to hear Jerry’s story.

Obamacare is just a fatal symptom of the larger problem. The federal government claims ownership of the very air that you breathe and the water that falls from the sky into your field. There is really only one way back. State Sovereignty!
