Miami Hurricanes receiver Allen Hurns is next up on the College2Pro.com Players Platform Show. Hurns finished his great Miami career with an invite to East West Shrine Game. A staple in college football since 1925, the game has consistently proven to be a launch pad for players seeking professional careers in the NFL. The East-West Shrine Game is the longest running college all-star game in the country. More than 100 players from the 88th East-West Shrine Game signed with professional football teams in 2013. On average, more than 275 East-West Shrine Game alumni are on NFL rosters each year.
Sadly there have been an increase of destructive storms of late, including tornadoes and hurricanes. The Bible predicted that there would be increased tornadic acitivity in the last days. Let's pray for all the victims of the recent tragedy in Moore, OK, and for our nation to avert any more.
The Bible is so relevant... it gives us tomorrow's news in advance through the powerful insights recorded by the prophets of old. We are living in the endtimes when Jesus said, "When you see all these things BEGIN to come to pass, look up, lift up your heads, for your redemption draws near." Jesus is coming soon! Are you ready? Check out the website www.flwi.org for pertinent studies and God's plan on how you can go to Heaven. He loved you enough to tell you the future and how to escape the coming time of great tribulation. An He signed the promise of your redemption with His own Blood!

Judith Curry, PhD.
Dr. Curry is a professor and former Chair of the School of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences at the Georgia Institute of Technology, and President (co-owner) of Climate Forecast Applications Network (CFAN). She has been known for her work on hurricanes, Arctic ice dynamics and other climate-related topics. But over the past year or so she has become better known for something that annoys, even infuriates, many of her scientific colleagues. According to one article in Scientific American, Curry has been engaging actively with the climate change skeptic community, largely by participating on outsider blogs such as Climate Audit, the Air Vent and the Blackboard. Why a climate heretic? Because she has come to question the way climatologists react to those who question the science. She thinks there's a lot of "crankology" out there. She is all about not lumping in the good with the bad and wants us to think - not tell us what to think! This show sponsored by The Fairfax Companies.

I am sure that you have heard some religious leaders tell you why natural disasters were allowed to occur and many will add “it’s God’s will”. Personally, I do not believe that bad things happen because God wishes to teach us a lesson. I believe bad things happen because we need to learn a lesson but the reason behind it happening is because of us period. We fail to plan when bad things happen and many of us are so quick to dismiss it that we will adhere ourselves to any excuse. What would you say if I told you that the reasons natural disasters occur is not because it is God’s will but simply because we are failing to listen to what nature has been warning us about for so long. For example, there is a place called tornado alley in Oklahoma, yet there are those who still wish to build and reside within that stretch of land. Is the destruction unleashed by that tornado the result of God’s will or our ignorance to learn from our past mistakes? We build houses by taking from wild animals their only source of survival and still seem surprised when we see one in our back yard. It was their back yard first until we stole it and called it ours.
