Repairing the Hidden Damage of Conflict Avoidance

    in Self Help

CONFLICT…either you hate it and avoid it at all costs, or you thrive on it by pushing to get your point across to the detriment of others.  How we recognize potential conflict or respond to ongoing conflict is a choice. It is a learned skill that challenges your thinking, taps into your emotions, and requires you to make strategic behavioral choices. These choices help build courage, confidence and competence to handle difficult, tension-filled situations.

What is conflict avoidance, and how can it create unintended damage to relationships and escalate situations? More often than not, it is used as a default defense mechanism which often leads to a much bigger problem. You will learn behavioral cues and underlying motivating factors that drive us to react in damaging ways. More importantly, you can make different choices and learn strategies to help you take courageous steps to address conflict confidently.

A Hurricane Katrina Survivor Thankful For God's Grace & Mercy Deborah Walker

    in Christianity

Inspiration Empowerment & BREAKTHROUGH!/ w/ Dr. Beverly L. Swanson                                               A LIVE Radio Talk Show of Real People Sharing Real Stories of Great Trials & Great Faith

JOIN ME and my Featured Guest Minister Deborah Walker Minister of Prayer at Oasis Church in Rancho Cordova Califonia.  Minister Deborah is sharing her Thankfulness to God the Father for her and her children miracuously surving the Castophic attack of Hurricane Katrina August 29, 2005.

On August 29, 2005 Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans La at category 5. My daughters and I left 14 hours before storm came.

We drove to Hattiesburg Mississippi which was 2 hours away and it took us almost 8 hrs to arrive at our destination thinking we were not going to be affected as much. After Hurricane Katrina struck Hattiesburg Miss. We could not leave the house because big trees were in the middle of street and some landed on houses. We were stuck in that city for four days. There was no electricity, no running water, and we could not use our cell phones, and the temperature was extremely hot. It was by grace of God how we made it out. I'm greatful that we survived. Through the power of prayer and God's faithfulness the storm could not touch my prayer partner's  home.  SEE YOU on The AIR!

Erasing history, God is pro-life, Fact-check Obama, & Socialism works!

    in Politics

Hr 1: Michelle Obama's racism, Machete control, Erasing history, & God is pro-life.

Hr 2: Homicides down, gun sales up? Oops! Fact-check Obama. And guest, media mogul, Xander Gibb talks current events, university brainwashing, rape culture, political parties, and uncivilized discourse.

Hr 3: Do you have brain damage? & Socialism works, ask Venezuela

Have you had your healthy dose of reality lately?

There are always at least two sides to every story. Have you ever wondered how someone, who saw the same thing you did, walked away telling a vastly different story? Which version was correct? Which one was the REAL story? Actually, both are! It’s just a matter of perspective.

Joe takes the issues… especially the controversial issues (politics, prejudice, religion, illegal immigration)… and brings in people from different sides to share their viewpoint. This is definitely not a fluff piece. And while no one is attacked, the questions are hard-hitting.

But the conversation is always respectful and you’re sure to learn something new, even if you don’t agree!

If you’ve always wondered how the “other side” thinks and how they’ve arrived at their “stand”, then this is the show for you!

It’s not the right side, it’s not the wrong side, but the REAL side of the issues!

Biography for Nur Jehan A. Al-Haqq

Her name is NurJehan Abdellah Al-Haqq which means "Light of the World"; but she prefers to be called Nur for short. Nur was born on August 9, 1975 in Detroit,MI.  She was brought up in the Islamic faith until she gave her life to the Lord in June of 1996.  She became a single mom at the tender age of 18 and gave birth to a beautiful son who is named Hasan.  Hasan is now 21 and is serving in the U.S. Army Reserve.  During Nur's walk with the Lord she became paralyzed on October 19, 1997 when she was assaulted in a domestic violence altercation. She is involved in volunteer work in the Community so she is a DMC task force member with Dr. Merriel Bullock-Neal.  She is a Leading Lady with Treva Gordon and also a member of the Y.D.O.D (Young Daughters of Destiny) org. with Min Rita Ewing.
