"Prometheus Rebound" and the Gryphens Duology with Author R.L. Akers

    in Books

In the not so distant past, a lone UFO crash lands in rural England in the dead of night. Its pilot, the enigmatic KLINE, brings a gift of advanced technology... and a dire warning of things to come.

In the less distant future, the first in a series of devastating attacks wipes out a major U.S. city. Preparations could have been made to meet the threat... but a certain visitor’s warnings were not taken seriously.

Now a frightened nation races against the clock to prepare for the next assault. But its greatest hope for survival will come from an unexpected direction. A whole new class of warrior will arise from within the populace: mechanics and stock brokers and waitresses and students, average Americans who share a very specific and underappreciated talent.

Leading them in the fight will be Kara Dunn, a pragmatic young woman with no idea of the destiny she alone can fulfill...

"Prometheus Rebound" author R.L. Akers is a native of Florida who fled humidity and hurricanes to reside in almost-heaven West Virginia. Holder of an undergraduate degree in computer science and a master's degree in business administration, Akers has worked in software development as well as non-profit fundraising and publicity. He is a licensed foster parent who helps lead the elementary-aged children's ministry at his church, and his interests include graphic design and orchestral movie soundtracks.

Prepare to Use Winter Wisely on I Am Liberty

    in Education

Prepare to Use Winter Wisely! I Am Liberty! Fridays 9:00pm/Est 8:00pm/Ct 7:00pm/Mt 6:00pm/Pt Live Listen and Chat go to: http://prepperbroadcasting.com/listen-chat/
The days are getting shorter and here in Virginia the humidity is beginning to wane. This means different things to different people. Some of us love the holidays and the cold weather. I love the former but hate the latter. This could also mean there are lengthy checklists of things to prepare for depending on your location in the country. Fall through winter presents very unique situations and opportunities for those of us looking to get prepared. The best use for your time is creating plans and goals for next year. So many of us go into every year with a mental list of really cool things we’d like to do or be a part of. The problem is the world impedes on that mental list and you never get any of it done.

The View Up Here talks Summer Madness!

    in Politics

Ahhh summer. Especially gratifying for us Canadians. No snow. No wind chill. Just humidity, floods, tornadoes, thenderstorms and bullshit politics. We know it, no surprises there. But lets chill out a bit anyway. Lets hear some great Canadian music, newer and older. Lets talk about all those summer things. Mosquitoes. Sunburn. The price of gasoline.

It's a pretty much open show, since some big things will be coming down the road shortly. C-36 is in hearings with new lows in decorum happening daily, thanks to the CPC Clown Corps. Omar Khadr wins his case to be transferred out of Federal prison, to be followed by another appeal from the 0-10 lolyers of the Ministry of *Justice* LOL. The real fireworks have passed from Canada Day, so it's time for the political fireworks real soon.

How long will Emperor play out the string? Will Peter MacKay die of a shock kitchen accident? Will Chris Alexander remove that broomstick from his...... Well, time will tell. But you are invited to contibute your opinions, insights, deepest hopes and general shenanigans.

It's summer goddammit. Lets have some fun. There may be a surprise or two. ( ?° ?? ?°)     Join us!!
