We learn in Numbers 12: "Now Moses was a very humble man, more humble than anyone else on the face of the earth."
It was against this humble man that his brother and sister rose up against him because he married a Cushite. And they said, "Hasn't he also spoken through us?"
This attitude angered the Lord! But he spared Moses' sister. She got a temporary case of leprosy but was healed and able to return to her family.
Note: Obviously, God was not offended about who Moses married. So why should anyone else be? God teaches us in the Bible that we are not to judge others.
Most of us want to make a difference in the lives of others as we grow in our walk in Christ. 1st Corinthians 1:30 says , " It is because of Him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God - that is , our righteousness, holiness and redemption. " If we are to be humble does that mean we are to accept a reliance upon someone greater than ourselves? Do we keep trying in our own strength to show humility but it is not sustained or a natural outpouring of who we really are? We say and hear , " be more like Jesus ", and try to be like Him. However unless our hearts are changed from contrite to humble we fail repeatedly and are left tired and utterly disillusioned, as if God has somehow forsaken us in the process. Isn't it time we ask God for help by letting His grace and indwelling Spirit work in our lives ....especially in our hearts? Do our hearts reflect the very core of who we are and is it the foundation of our emotions, our mind, and our will? Do our hearts primarily dictate our beliefs and behaviors? We Are " HIS "
GOD'S Word presents the concept of humility as a desireable virtue that HE expects to find in HIS people. Its opposite is discribed as pride which manifests itself in various behaviors that are deceptive to the one possessing it. Pride can vary from a very subtle condition to a full blown disfunction. However, it is all sin. Today, we are reminded to acept the fact of our condition so that GOD can heal us. Join us today at 6:00 AM for live prayer seeking HIS face. Dial 714.459.3963.

There is perhaps nothing more powerful than a humble heart. Humility, the most misunderstood of all virtues, is the ability to accept and acknowledge God’s opinion and perspective in our lives. This is where the power lies. The moment we accept and embrace God’s perspective, we are endowed with the ability to share in His strength and am able to flow in His plan. This level of empowerment is often missed in our traditional understanding of humility. Typically, when defining humility, most would only associate it with being lowly in spirit, but this is incomplete. This is why far more attention is placed on the interaction of the physical attraction two people share. True humility, simply put, is being sensitive to God’s perspective in our lives. This definition allows variety in our personality while keeping the emphasis on embracing God’s perspective. Regarding this level of empowerment, Psalm 149:4 states, “For the Lord takes delight in his people; he crowns the humble with victory.” The surest way to victory is to embrace God’s perspective and that is that he “takes delight in his people." When we know God’s love for us, we are empowered to be truly humble and our focus is sharpened beyond the temporary illusions that are often created by the longings of our libido. As we further strive to achieve and maintain a life defined by humility and a relationship that is filled with love, how does humility factor into this process? Listen in as we share our thought on the power of humility and its value beyond reliance on the longing of our loins.
There are many Christian leaders that I stand opposed to and many messages within the Christian church that I feel stand in opposition to Christ. It is good to know who we must avoid but that is only helpful if there is a group of people to look to as the church moves forward.
Malachi 3:5 So I will come to put you on trial. I will be quick to testify against sorcerers, adulterers and perjurers, against those who defraud laborers of their wages, who oppress the widows and the fatherless, and deprive the foreigners among you of justice, but do not fear me,” says the Lord Almighty
Therefore the group of people the church must support and stand with are the foreigners being denied justice, the fatherless, the widowers and the workers that are being defrauded their wages. These are God's people. It is the lowly and the despised that we must serve.
I Corinthians 1:28,29 God chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things—and the things that are not—to nullify the things that are, so that no one may boast before him.
Ephesians 4:2 Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.
Ephesians 1:9 Believers in humble circumstances ought to take pride in their high position.
All of this scripture helps us understand that we must stand with the humble and be patient with one another. This can't be done when people simply disregard the needs of the poor as being a part of "entitlement programs." God's program is the truest entitlement program. A Christian is receiving grace, mercy, forgiveness and love for nothing.
James 4:10Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up. All NEW Series!!
