Join host Dave Etter and various callers as the MenSpouses discuss past MSA events they have attended. You will laugh, cry, get angry, maybe even call in and give your two cents worth! (516) 453-9167.
MMSRS is a weekly 2-hour web-based radio show, hosted by Dave Etter, focusing on the needs of men married to serving military members, both men and women. Male Military Spouses are a small niche of military spouses, comprising of only 7%-8% of all military spouses. We feel left out, usually, at support functions - especially those designed with the spouses being identified as "wives"! We get cajoled at playgrounds where our kids play, from the mommies there who think we don't belong. We are proud SAHDs, who gave up our careers to follow our spouses as they dedicate thier lives to defend our country! Here, on this show, we come together and share beer recipes, diaper changing techniques, financial discoveries - manly things, for men! Airs Fridays at Noon CT, rated R for the cussing that can occur, and available for download (podcast) immediately following each show.
We will update you on what is happening around the world. We hope that you will call in and share with us the kinds of things you are seeing where you live. Is the media the worst terrorist for giving the bad guys a platform? Or have you experienced things in your neck of the woods that aren't getting reported? Join us to discuss.

Gordon Lee "Tex" Beneke (February 12, 1914 – May 30, 2000) was an American saxophonist, singer, and bandleader. His career is a history of associations with bandleader Glenn Miller and former musicians and singers who worked with Miller.
According to an article on The Wild Hunt dated 5/14/15: "The Great Lakes Naval Recruit Training Command (RTC), where enlisted Navy recruits go for Basic Training, has stopped religious services for six minority religious designations. This includes “Earth-Centered” worship. In place of the weekly community worship service led by a volunteer civilian faith leader, trainees have been told that they will have an hour of private “contemplation and reflection.” In response, Pagan civil rights group Lady Liberty League is working to change what they, and other religious rights groups, consider a discriminatory practice." Please follow the above linkf or the entire article.
This comes on the tails of the U.S. Veterans' Association approving the Pentacle and other Pagan religious symbols for use on military graves as well as various branches of the military recently approving Heathenry and other Pagan faiths as legitimate religions for personnel. Along with Lady Liberty League, the Military Religious Freedom Foundation and other groups are looking into what can be done to correct this injustice for our services members. MRFF has gone so far as to threaten to sue of the discrimination. All of this and more can be found in the Wild Hunt article.
RevKess and KaliSara will address this and other issues that effect the Pagan community in this episode of Pagan Weekly News.
The numbers are grim. No matter what report you look at, the picture of retirement for U.S. workers is not pretty. Let's put it this way: There's no beach and umbrella drink. Instead, there are plans to recover from the Great Recession, plans to continue working, plans to ratchet back one's lifestyle. Join us as we talk with Laurie Rowley, the co-founder and president of The National Association of Retirement Plan Participants (NARPP) to find out how we got here and what employers can do to help their employees be better prepared.
NARPP is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to advocate for individual savers. Using research, partnerships, and innovative educational programs, NARPP is making financial information transparent and universally accessible to the 145 million working Americans saving for retirement.
In this episode of The Red Light Sports Ramble, presented by The Red Light Sports Network, Evan Witalison and Troy Otradovec will discuss a recent article from Natasha Bertrand, "The Pentagon paid 14 NFL teams $5.4 million to 'salute troops' Read more: http://www.businessinsider.com/the-pentagon-pays-the-nfl-millions-to-honor-veterans-at-games-2015-5#ixzz3a4RPVZUc. Do you think that it is right for teams to receive money from the Pentagon? We hear about military budget cuts for our soldiers, but then millions of dollars are being paid to NFL teams. Shouldn't a team be patriotic and salute our soldiers for the service they provide our country? Listen in our call the show and give Evan and Troy your thoughts.
