    Homosexuality in the Church

    in Social Networking

Today in 2015 society postures homosexuality as simply an "alternative lifestyle". Does God love homosexuals? Why is there such debate and division within churches over the issue of homosexuality? Why do some Christians have a problem with these things?

Verses in the Old Testament prohibit "lying with mankind as with womankind: it is abomination". Today too some interpreters uphold that understanding of these passages, while other interpreters maintain that they do not condemn homosexuality, saying that historical context suggests other interpretations or that rare or unusual words in the passages may not be referring to homosexuality.

Tonight, let's take a look at how God views homosexuality.

Homosexuality & Christianity: What did Jesus say?

    in Current Events

Nicholas Snow welcomes Rev Clinton Crawhaw, Senior Pastor of the Metropolitan Community Church of the Coachella Valley, to discuss what Jesus did and did not say about homosexuality, dispelling a lot of the lies and mythology perpetuated by so-called "Christians."

Rev Crawshaw was born in Woking, in the county of Surrey just to the southwest of London (UK) in 1970  He moved with his parents to Devonshire at age eleven, then ran back to London ASAP at age 21. He went forward for ordination in The Church of England at age 30, and after studying at St Steven's House, Oxford, was ordained in 2002. He served as curate at St Alphage's church, Burnt Oak for 18 months, during which time he began to question the Anglican position on human sexuality and pastoral care.  After much soul searching and a period of extended illness he transferred credentials to MCC in 2006, and has worked as chaplain at Carl Bean House, an HIV hospice in South Central Los Angeles, and interim Pastor of The MCC Church in New Orleans, which he saw grow (with the support and hard work of his partner Leon) from a post Katrina low of 11 members to a thriving congregation of 95 members.  In May 2011 he was called to serve the congregation of MCC of The Coachella Valley as intentional interim Specialist, accompanying the church through a period of intense growth and revival. In March 2013 he was invited to remain at MCCCV as permanent Senior Pastor.  Rev Crawshaw's interests are, theology, art, antiques, the great outdoors and his three dogs, Mardi (Puggle), Precious (Australian shepherd) and Zack (Keeshond).

"Why HOMOSEXUALITY is Not a SIN!"

    in Spirituality

This morning is going to be HOTTER THAN JULY!

The sins of mankind are clearly delineated in the Word of God! I mean, murder, stealing, telling lies, adultery, etc. Pretty clear cut. Nobody can argue there right?

Iniquity (the leaning towards committing sin inside the heart of man) is a sin. So therefore, thoughts and deeds are indeed sinful according to the Word. No arguments there right?

Rape, assault, robbery, crimes against nature, bestiality, cheating on taxes, stealing someon'e lucnh at work. Everyone agree these are sinful acts?

Okay, here we go! Christians cannot argue that ANY of these acts are not SINFUL! So how is it that of all the sins in the bible, homosexulaity (which God CLEARLY calls and abomination...a stronger adjective than sin by the way; is NOT a sin?

What about redemption and deliverance? Why do we support redemption and deliverance from every other sin BUT Homosexulaity?

Gonna tell you why this morning on P2T Radio...but you gotta tune in for the answers!

    SSWAG - Ready, Set, Preach! - Homosexuality/Abomination!

    in Christianity

SSWAG introduces Apostle Roger Anderson. Apostle Anderson is a Street Preacher who recently preached outside the Elton John concert. Among many other Street Preachers, Apostle Anderson is destined to bring lost souls to Christ by taking The Word to the people who in most cases will not voluntarily come to The Word.

There is a great need in this day and time for strong preaching and teaching when we are seeing so many signs of the end approaching. Preaching in the streets that hell will be your eternal fate if you don't repent is nothing short of love for the lives of others and wanting to see as many as possible go to Heaven.

Tune in to hear Apostle Anderson on Thursday, October 23, 2014

    Biblical reaction to Homosexuality

    in Politics Conservative

I will be discussing several things regarding the lifestile of Homosexuality.

Is a person born that way?

    Is it the worst sin?

    Does God hate them?

How do we show them the love of Jesus?

Maybe we can figure out together how to represent Christ to this minority in our community.
