    Sweetie Jones and his musical backup group, the Dixie Kats, from Macon, GA, was popular in the SE during the mid 50s and early 60s, and he cut several records on several regional labels, including NRCO

    Authors Homer Hickam and Dror Ashuah

    Homer Hickam - October Sky was the story of Homer Hickam, the son of a coalminer in Coalwood, West Virginia, who led a group of boys who built rockets. It was about the passion and dreams of youth, and for the real-life Homer, of dreams fulfilled.     Homer Scarborough and Jane Darnell Keel interview

She later sang for awhile with Ray McKinley and the Glenn Miller Orchestra. Now she sings patriotic and Christian music.
