The Republicans want to defund the president's executive orders on immigration but are having a hard time making that happen. After easily passing the GOP House, a funding bill for the Department of Homeland Security can't get to the floor of the Senate because the GOP has stripped funding requests to implement the president's immigration plans and Democrats refuse to consider it until the offending cuts are restored. This is a problem because funding will run out for DHS by the end of the month.
We'll discuss the politics and policy of the DHS funding controversy with Noah Rothman of Hot Air.
We stream live from 8:00 - 9:00 PM Eastern time. A podcast will be available shortly after the end of the show.
Everyone knows that the Department of Homeland Security concentrates on keeping things safe inside the borders of the United States. What many people don't know is that their mission includes making sure that software on government systems is reliable, stable, and secure.
Interop Radio host Curtis Franklin sat down with Kevin Greene, Program Manager for Software Assurance at the Cyber-Security Division of the Science and Technology Directorate in the Department of Homeland Security. In this interview, recorded at the Black Hat conference in September, Greene talked about the role of software assurance at DHS, how assurance is built into the software created and deployed by the department, and the lessons that enterprise software project managers can learn from the work on software assurance that's going on in our government departments and agencies.
Join us for this outstanding episode of Interop Radio and join us in the online chat! We look forward to having your voice in the discussion about software -- and how its quality can be assured via proper policies and procedures.

Tonight on the Rod Eccles Show, Rod gets into the current "crissis" in Congress over Homeland Security and funding. Rod will tell you why this is not a crissis and why the Media is not covering the story truthfully and accuratly. Oh you thought they were being honest about it. Well, the truth is even if Congress doesn't pass a bill for Obama to sign, Homeland Security will not shut down as the Lame Stream Media would have you believe. Rod tells you why and give you the governments own proof. Plus Rod will talk about other issues that took place since he was away. Dont miss a single minute tonight. You will want to share this with your family and friends.
Homeland Farm has been owned by 1 single family for the entirety of its 200+ year existence, save 1 single year in the 1960's when the family moved away - but it called them back - or was is their kin who beckoned them to return?
Behind the walls of Homeland Farm there have been generations of birth, life, and death - by design... afterall, Homeland Farm is "home" and everyone who is a part of this family and this farm embrace the full circle of life - its triumphs and its challenges, equally.
With generations of family members leaving their mark on Homeland Farm it would be quite natural to consider some may have remained behind; To watch the farm? To keep an eye on kinfolk? It's hard to know why they've remained, but with numous full-body apparition sightings in all areas of the farm, odd happenings, disembodied vocals, strange mists, bright lights, and shadows, the one that is very clear - the spirits are quite happy to remain "home" at Homeland Farm.
In Part 2 of this series we meet Carmen, the current owner of Homeland Farm. Carmen has raised her family here over the years, and has had so many paranormal encounters its actually considered somewhat "normal" for their household. Listen with us as Carmen tells us what it's like to have her kids tell her they've witnessed full-body apparitions, heard disembodied vocals, or witness sights not easily explainable.
For the remainder of the series we will progress to Carmen's young-adult son, Cameron, to get his perspective on what it's like to live in a "haunted" house with a family that's very open to the experiences past loved ones have offered over the years.
