Brought to you by The American Public Safety Training Institute (TAPSTI) www.tapsti.org, this 2 hour session will review the work of Mark Sauter and James Carafano and their excellent textbook entitled “Homeland Security” (2012, 2nd ed.). This seminar includes a historical review of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) from its early colonial legacy, to the Cold War, and then into its transition into its current form as the result of 9/11. Contemporary homeland security includes a huge array of challenges as our society becomes more technologically oriented and, as a result, more susceptible to targeting. We are dependent on stability in a very unstable world and, for the first real time, a very small group of people can wreak tremendous havoc. This seminar focuses on the change from national security being one that assumed the "homeland" was safe from its own people and the dangers were from outside our own borders to the present day where there can be no assumptions made where the next attack will come from.

This seminar speaks to investigating, preventing, and responding in the United States to terrorist plots. This probably covers some of the most concerning material to people in this country because we trust the military to take care of foreign enemies we like to think will be contained outside our own borders (as long as we allow the military leaders to do their jobs) but what happens when our own people turn on us? Where and what are the front lines of domestic terrorism? Whose jurisdiction and operational control does it belong to? What are the issues and what are the components of counterterrorism operations? These questions and more are answered in this seminar.

This seminar addresses the “New Normal” within Homeland Security, what our concept is, and then we trickle down from the federal government through the maze of agencies to the local level. Once that understanding has been reached, we examine theories of security to fully grasp the mission at hand. We take a look at strategy, assess what our National Strategy is, and then take a look at some analytical tools to help us better understand how we are living up to our expectations.

This seminar addresses what emergency managers do to protect the business community. Many people believe Emergency Management is only concerned with civilian populations but the resiliency of the business sector is a huge component and need area in ensuring a population can get back to their normal lives as soon as possible. The business environment is changing and there are huge opportunities available for those who create and maintain emergency plans for them because they have to plan for the worst. There are concerns about supply chain security, physical security, information security, and so forth. If you are in business or you know someone who is this may be a seminar you don’t want to miss.

This seminar introduces the listener to Homeland Security intelligence processes, methods, structure, and resources. In this seminar we will discuss Intelligence Collection and what counterintelligence is and does. To truly appreciate the role intelligence management has in our society we discuss intelligence organizations, missions, activities, and how state and local law enforcement tie into this whole complicated array of intelligence gathering and management to keep us safe. The latter part of the discussion is based on the new Departmnet of the Army publication "Protection of Civilians ATP 3-07.6" (29 October 2015 Release) and a discussion of how this could be modified to apply, in large part, to professional policing operations here in the United States.

Good evening, tomorrow on The Meter we will debate how secure are we in the homeland. The Patroit Act is set to expire on June 1st as lawmaker debate certain aspects of the act. Another case of white police officers being acquitted of killing black suspects has once again sparks protests of police brutality, in Cleveland. Also, more Americans are attempting to join ISIS as the terrorist group claims operatives are already in place in America. Are we safe in the Homeland? We will also cover the latest in the 2016 race for the White House. Please join us at 9:00 AM. The call in number is (347) 308-8933. Your input is essential.
Yesterday I received an email by the Department of Homeland Security because I am currently licensed as a RN, BSN and it is related to antigens, viruses, bioterorism. I will explain what will be covered in this full day seminar. Doctors, First Emergency Personnel, Registered Nurses, PA State Police, PA National Guard, FBI, and PA National Guard, and Department of Homeland Security will be present. The FBI, PA National Guard and Department of Homeland Security will talk about all of these issues and how to prepare for all of these antigens, Viruses, and bioterrorism. What precautions are necessary for Doctors, Nurses, State Police, and First Emergency Responders.
I have been licensed as a RN, BSN since 1995 and I have never received an email or letter relating to any of these issues. This is not normal. A couple of years ago President Obama stated, "There is a natural impending disaster in Fema Zone 3" which PA is in that zone. PA received MREs (meals), thousands of antibiotics and so forth.
In 2014 I predicted that Ebola would arrive in the USA which it did. In my 2015 prediction video on Youtube I had visions of people very ill and Emergency Rooms were sending people away as they were full. I saw people on gurneys anywhere they could put them in the ER. I predicted that people would get a zombie like virus which affects their frontal lobe of their brain and this is really coming on strong right now as I feel they are going to discuss how police officers have to handle these people infected. The National Guard will quarantine areas and take people away.
In 2011 the CDC actually put on their website, "Preparedness against zombies 101." This is not a joke and it's on the CDC.gov website. They continued by saying that an area would be quarantined. It affects the frontal lobe.
I will take psychic questions.

Reported from Mac Slavo at SHTFplan.com on April 3, 2015.
A new Homeland Security purchase order listed on FedBizOpps raises an eyebrow or two.
Over the course of 9 pages (PDF), the technical requirements call for an arsenal of specialized weaponry for training and deployment against crowds.
On top of a wide range of gas and chemical grenades, rubber bullets and other riot rounds, the purchase calls for “controlled noise and light distraction devices,” including flash bangs which set off a 175 dB sound with 6 – 8 million candelas light bursts in 10 milliseconds.
So why are the Feds prepping to take on crowds?
The collection of equipment provides a diverse range of toys with which authorities could push back crowds and potentially intimidate free speech as well.
Are there more riots coming? Is widespread civil unrest only a matter of time? Is it related to martial law exercises like Jade Helm 15?
What do the Feds know that we don’t?

Join Author Anita Wills for the first episode of a open discussion on A Nation of Flaws JustUs in the Homeland. Families whose loved ones have been killed by Police Action will co host and share their stories. A Nation of Flaws is a book that goes back to the inception of Colonialism and the laws that allowed the killing of Natives for their land, their enslavement, and eventual removal from their ancients lands, to Reservations. Once Natives were dealt with African Slaves were brought into the Americas to work the stolen lands. Christianity was used as a means to Assimilate Natives and then Africans, although most European Christians broke every commandment in their Bible. The laws passed were meant to protect the White Male Patriarchy formed during the Colonial Period. America's laws, spoken and unspoken are a continuation of those same laws.
There are written and unwritten laws regarding the police killing of Minorities with impunity. Most Police Shootings are of African Americans, and then Hispanics, and then Natives. It is in fact Natives who have sustained the longest period of Genocide in history, over 500 years. African Americans are now in the cross hairs of American Justice and it is time to speak out. It is time to have an open discussion of the racism and repression visited upon people of color in America.
Join us as we have this discussion and share the stories of lives lost included in the book, including, Kerry Baxter Junior, James Rivera Junior, Mario Romero, Derrick Gaines, Antonio Guzman Lopez, O'Shaine Evans, Eric Garner, Sandy Bland, Aiyana Jones, Clinton Allen, Tamir Rice, and many more.
