I’m Hannah Crum, affectionately dubbed “The Kombucha Mamma,” and since 2004 I have been brewing Kombucha and educating others about how easy it is to make this delicious and healthy “longevity elixir.” What began as a love of lip-puckering brew, this enjoyable process has evolved into my passion and lifestyle. From homebrew hobbiest, to educator, to Master Brewer, Kombucha Kamp has grown organically as my experience has deepened. At Kombucha Kamp, we are committed to providing the most accurate and up-to-date information to Kombucha lovers and homebrewers at any stage in their experience.


    I have taught Kombucha making classes to all size groups, from individuals to workshops of 100+, all over the country fornearly 8 years for over a decade, spreading the message of Kombucha and its bacterial benefits far and wide through a variety of venues including festivals, health conferences, podcasts, interviews, articles and more.     Thats right Folks!!!! This weeks episode is one for the books. Ritchie Holmes has challenged BEEFY aka Chef Clemenza to a MEATBALL THROWDOWN. Ritchie will be visiting the studio with what he thinks are the Best Meatballs in town. Clem has many doubts about that. They will battle it out right here in Staten Island. WHO HAS THE BEST BALLS?


    About 8 judges will make the decision. We got none other than The Culinary Renegade himself putting balls in his mouth as well as Chefs Barret Beyer, Dan Ryan and Frank Bilotti from Hells Kitchen and from CHOPPED we got Chefs Eddie Canlon, John Sierp and Sean Quinn. It doesnt stop there. We will have Home Brewmaster Doug Williams washing down some balls of meat with some great home brews and Foodie and regular sit in guest on Chewing The Fat, the incredible CUZ Kris Sjolander.


    The Curvacious Cook will be chiming in also

    We of course would like to explore the theory of mutualism and how Mr. Carson came to be an anarchist.  We look forward to an enlightening session inspiring our listeners to become further interested in the possibility of a free society.

    We have a panel of expert guests this morning to tell us all about the burgeoning South Bay beer scene.
    Jeff Parker, co-owner and Head Brewer Dude. Jeff is a South Bay native and surfs a lot.
    His interest in beer making began in an AP chemistry class after reading a paper on exothermic reactions. He loves the science of it all and began home brewing in 1989 just as the micro-brewing industry was really taking off.
    Also from The Dudes Brewing Company, we have Toby Humes, co-owner and Business Dude. Toby has a Masters in Accounting but his appreciation for craft beer started in 2009.
    Ed Fabian is the Store Manager of Total Wine & More’s Redondo Beach store.  Prior to joining Total Wine & More in May of 2002, Ed had been involved in the beverage industry for over 11 years.
    From Patch.com, we have our local beer writer, John Schreiber. John is a journalist and a field editor for Patch.com's group of local news websites in the South Bay and regularly covers the growing craft beer industry in the area.
    From Select Beer Bottle Store & Tap Room, we have returning guest Wes Jacobs.  Wes is a long time home brewer and co-owner of Select Beer Bottle Shop & Tap Room. Select Beer features American craft and imported beers with over 300 varieties to choose from.
    Jay Ankeney has been active in the So Cal homebrew scene since the 1980s. He is a member of the South Bay's own Strand Brewers Club (president in 2002), a BJCP certified beer judge, and founded the Pacific Brewers Cup in 1997.
