Summer Film Preview
Noted film critics Laura Frank Clifford and Mack Bates join Movie Addict HQ for a preview of 2013 summer movie offerings. With over 100 new films opening during the summer months, many fans need help in deciding which movies deserve their attention, so Laura and Mack plan to offer their suggestions. Laura co-hosts Reeling: The Movie Review Show, which has been broadcast at the Malden, Massachusetts, cable access television station since 1991. She belongs to the Broadcast Critics Association and the Online Film Critics Society. Mack contributes freelance articles to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel and serves as a staff blogger for Milwaukee Magazine’s official film blog. He is currently working on a short film script he wrote earlier in the year and hopes to film it sometime in 2013. He also has plots in place for five other narrative-driven shorts, a thesis for a short documentary, and a 13-part web series.

Mr. Dennis Maguire graduated from Santa Clara University he went to work on, THE LEGEND OF THE LONE RANGER, in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Dennis spent 5 years building sets before Roger Rothstein, a producer, was kind enough to allow him to interview as the Set P.A. on the feature film, ONLY WHEN I LAUGH. Eventually, Dennis did 400 days as a Set P.A. and became a member of the Directors Guild of America as a 2nd Assistant Director. He moved up to 1st Assistant Director shortly after that and has enjoyed a successful career on many feature films, including: Angela's Ashes, Evita, Soldier, The Specialist, Patriot Games, Misery, The Scarlet Letter, Rambo III, Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade. More recently Dennis has been involved with THE MECHANIC, MEDALLION, Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D, STOLEN, and Leprechaun’s Revenge.
