Actresses Dionne Audain and Shelia Cutchlow talk about their book "The Mid-Atlantic Talent Guide." Dionne talks about her appearances on Saturday Night Live.
Sheila Cutchlow is an actress and producer, known for Step Up (2006), Safehouse (2008) and Se habla español (2005).
Dionne Audain, who has recently been cast in Netflix's "Orange Is The New Black", is an emerging artist who began her career in the DC Metro area known for her passion, drive and dedication.
Having a BA in English (Literature & Rhetoric emphasis) and a Master's of Public Administration (MPA) from the number one program in the nation - The Maxwell School at Syracuse University, Ms. Audain's former life included consulting, budgeting and managing change in large government and private organizations averaging 70 hours a week.
After realizing that her drive and talent also had artistic inclinations, Ms. Audain set her sights on acting. Having "performed" since the age of two in pageants, dance troupes, story telling competitions, original poems and of course plays - she was a natural and force waiting to be unleashed.
During the last four years, under the tutelage of great teachers, coaches and training programs, she has accomplished an impressive resume with local, regional and national credits in theater, film, television, voice-overs and print.
Hosted by Matt G and "Doc" Savage

Tonight's show is inspired by a special feature on the blu-ray collection of Friday the 13th,...on the New Blood disc,..called, no joke..."Need a little touch-up work, my ass" where two actresses from the movie actually look & act younger than they did back in 1988. This cheered me up and made me laugh very much, and it was just truly amazing to see people having that much fun.
It also taught me how it is really cool to just be able to celebrate yourself, and how nobody should ever feel condemned or discouraged from being themselves, no matter the cost.
Here we talk about that on KEEP IT REEL!

Let's Talk True Blood has been on a bit of a hiatus as I covered the final True Blood panel at the San Diego Comic Con. Jimmy and I will chat about the last 2 episodes, as well as what happened during the panel. Then stick around because I had the honor of chatting with one of my favorite actresses on True Blood, Carrie Preston and we spoke about the show ending, Arlene's new love interest Keith and how she feels now that it's almost over!
There are so many quotes about "if it's worthwhile, it takes work." Sometimes, the thing you need to achieve will come to you easily, but for the most part, it requires focusing your attention on what needs to be done - then doing the work. There are some people who will never understand that. But think about it.
Everyone from Olympic athletes to concert pianists to country music stars or rock and roll artists, actors and actresses - no matter what the field of endeavor - they must all practice their craft over and over. They make the necessary contacts and they work hard to be able to live their dreams.
Many so-called "overnight successes" were 10, 15 or even 20 years in the making. Most of those people laugh when someone calls them an overnight success because they know how hard they worked to get there. They worked daytime jobs and perfected their crafts at night. Sleep was a luxury most of them could ill-afford.
How much work will it take to achieve your Empowering dream?
