Dr. Paul has almost 40 years of experience in Plastic and Reconstructive surgery. Dr. Paul earned both undergraduate and medical degrees at the University of Maryland. After a Surgery residency at Manhattan's Mount Sinai Medical Center, he completed additional General and Plastic Surgery residencies at the George Washington University Medical Center in Washington, D.C. He is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He also currently serves as clinical professor of Surgery at the Aesthetic and Plastic Surgery Institute at the University of California, Irvine.

Michele Garber talks to Beverly Hills Cosmetic Surgeon, Dr. Mark Berman about his technigue for volumizing the face with THE SPACE LIFT - AUTOLOGOUS FAT TRANSPLANTATION, as well as about his work with ADULT (NON EMBRYONIC) stem cells.
Dr. Berman is a Diplomat of the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery and the American Board of Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery, and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He practices cosmetic surgery in Beverly Hills and is well known for his longtime work with fat grafting – particularly to restore the three-dimensional volume of the aging face.
In 2011, he and Elliot Lander, MD, started the California Stem Cell Treatment Center to provide investigational surgical cell therapy for patients that could potentially benefit from SVF (stromal vascular fraction rich in stem cells) and co-founded the Cell Surgical Network advancing this work among colleagues throughout the world. He’s also the first surgeon to use Gore-Tex materials in cosmetic surgery. He has also authored a novel – Substance of Abuse – a controversial sexy thriller that suggests a solution to the war on drugs (available on Amazon).

There is a very different professional situation for a self-employed person who operates as their own safety net. No guaranteed paycheck, no benefits. Self-employment is a joy for those who value autonomy and possess high levels of self-discipline. From Bloomberg Businessweek, “self-employed people are happier with their jobs than the wage-employed. According to the Pew report, "Nearly four-in-ten self-employed workers (39%) say they are 'completely satisfied' with their jobs, compared with 28% of all wage or salaried employees."
