If you know about Jimi Hendrix, you should know about his #1 protege, Velvert Turner. Velvert is no longer with us to discuss his time with Jimi, so we have to listen to his music to fill in the gaps. What is so remarkable about Velvert is his vocal reflection of Jimi. If you are not listening carefully, you might think that Jimi made a few extra records. Velvert Turner was actually part of The Velvert Turner Group in the 70's, releasing his album in 1972. We will preview tracks from that release and discuss Velvert.
