Toxic emotions of fear, sorrow, envy, jealousy and anger dredge up stories from your childhood or previous relationships. These old stories are superimposed onto the current moment and relationship, and that specific toxic neural network is reinforced in your brain.Expressing anger in reasonable ways can be healthy, but explosive people who hurl objects and yell at others frequently may be at greater risk for heart disease. Prolonged bouts of anger can take the toll on the body in the form of high blood pressure, stress, anxiety, headaches and poor circulation. Research also shows that even one five-minute episode of anger is so stressful that it can impair your immune system for more than six hours. All of these health issues can lead to more serious problems such as heart attacks and stroke.
In this show you’ll learn:
How the mind, body, and emotions are all connected
What the top 3 emotions are that negatively affect your GI health
How hormones, neuropeptides, emotions, and the work of Dr. Candace Pert are all connected
Negative emotions can result in alterations in your brain-gut connection, which can cause or worsen numerous gastrointestinal disorders, including inflammatory bowel disease, irritable bowel syndrome, food allergies, GERD, and more
Join Lynn DeBuhr Johnson and Arttemis Keszainn as they discuss what the top 3 emotions are that negatively affect your gut health and what they turn into for healing your body at all levels .

Please join us this Thursday, January 21, 2016 at 4:00 p.m. PST and 7:00 p.m. EST for a live show with host Denise Messenger. Our special guest is Dr Gil Kajiki. He is the founder of the Valley Thyroid Institute. He graduated from the Pasadena College of Chiropractic and has been a chiropractor for 30 years. The main focus of his practice is thyroid and Auto Immune conditions.
Through working with his patients he developed the Kajiki Protocol for determining thyroid and autoimmune issues with a particular concentration on Hashimoto's Thyroiditis. He offers his patients answers and protocols to improve thyroid function and overall health.
With his roots in chiropractic-biophysics, Dr. Kajiki was busy helping patients in the San Fernando Valley in Southern California with their spinal structural corrective care when his wife became ill with what at first appeared to be Epstein Barr.
As he watched his wife’s health deteriorate under the care of several doctors, Dr. Kajiki began a relentless search for answers to why his healthy wife could become so ill and yet no one seemed to know how to care for her. After more than two years of tests, medication, B12 shots, and finally hospitalization, it was her husband and not her medical provider who came to her rescue.
After countless hours of study, consultation with colleagues, and testing, Dr. Kajiki diagnosed his wife with Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis, an autoimmune condition that attacks the thyroid. He spent the next several months treating her autoimmune condition through natural supplements, lifestyle modifications, and dietary changes. She is now symptom free and doesn’t take any thyroid medication. Dr. Kajiki has an educational 5 DVD series of self-help for patients with chronic thyroid problems called “The Thyroid Mystery Solved”. You asked for it and we deliver!

Tune in and learn the many ways you can recapture your youthful emotions and live a happier, healthier life.

Open wide and ...laugh out loud. Humor, it seems is just what the doctor ordered. Not only can it help reduce stress and open channels of communication between people, research suggests humor can help ease pain, facilitate recovery, help problem solving and decision making, and help you maintain your balance and your positive outlook.
"Humor isn't a substitute for health care, but it can be a powerful and fun adjunct," says Joel Goodman, Ed.D., director of the Humor Project, an organization in Saratoga Springs, New York, that offers seminars, conferences, and publications on the therapeutic use of humor. Dr. Goodman is also the co-author of Chicken Soup for the Laughing Soul.
