50 Shades of Greige? Yipes. We're embracing color with Chris & Roger Hazard

    in Design

Scared of embracing color? Does your home look like 50 shades of greige? Let's talk color with Chris & Roger Hazard.

The soft tones of greys and beiges can be calming and soothing in many places, but when your entire home inside-and-outside is shades of greige, there might be a gigantic opportunity to add a bit of your personality and your laughter-side into some of your spaces.

We're talking with designers Chris Stout-Hazard and Roger Hazard about how to dip our toes in the world of color, and how to build up the courage to make a big leap.

Roger Hazard is internationally known as an innovative designer and the star of the first real estate-related show on U.S. television, Sell This House. Roger introduced Americans to the concept of staging, igniting the real estate industry and paving the way for the dozens of real estate-focused shows currently found on cable channels. A constant collaborator with Roger, Chris Stout-Hazard leads design for their furniture and home decor company, Roger + Chris, acts as the go-to guy for all technical projects, and balances Roger's rustic style with a modern aesthetic.

You can follow Roger and Chris' adventures remodeling their historic home and see their collection of home furnishings at www.rogerandchris.com.

Steal Away and Create Your Master Plan!

    in Women

I’m going to hazard a guess that as the New Year drew near; most of us did not pause, to map out how we might add the “new” into our already busy lives. We were busy wrapping the up the holiday season and completing projects that had to be finished by December 31st.

Relax! Your intentions are good – they deserve to produce results.  If the resolutions you set on New Year's Eve haven't taken root, now is a perfect time to blend your resolutions into your schedule. You’ve probably got some energy build up around your intentions and resolutions. The secret is to steal away for four hours.

What I’m talking about here is a variation on that theme – for those who feel that they can’t steal away for a day – because of life, family and work commitments.

Concussion and Mild Traumatic Brain Injury

    in Health

March 27, 2015: At Brooke Army Medical Center in Texas, physical therapists often see patients who have suffered a mild traumatic brain injury or concussion in the line of duty. Sometimes the concussion is the result of an explosion in combat. Other times, it might be due to a fall or collision during training.

Lt Col Tony Cromer Jr, suffered a concussion due to a more common workplace hazard, when his head was slammed by an opening door. The effects of that workplace accident, including headaches and dizziness, were the same as they often are for soldiers on the battlefield.

In this episode, physical therapist Miriam Hammerle, PT, Cert SMT, and Cromer discuss his injury and treatment.

    Musician Brian Hazard

    in Entertainment

80′s synthpop is in my blood, but I mostly listen to Electronic Dance Music these days. My songs draw from both, fleshed out with piano accompaniment. Anyone who took music lessons as a kid calls themselves “classically trained,” but I stuck with it, earning a Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance.
I’m currently working on my 9th full-length Color Theory release, scheduled for 2013. Career highlights include winning the Grand Prize in the John Lennon Songwriting Contest, two songs in the hit video game Rock Band, and several song placements on MTV’s The Real World.
You can hear everything I’ve recorded and download free songs at music.colortheory.com. I’m also on iTunes and http://passivepromotion.com
