This show was inspired by and centered around a Hawaii-Five-O show, “Strangers in Our Own Land” (season 1, episode 4), and the idea that this land is not “Hawaii Five-O”, meaning “Hawaii, 50th state of the US”.
It is still the Kingdom of Hawai’i. Some of the deeper meanings of this were addressed, as well as upcoming events that are coming, and that may be expected as the Kingdom of Hawai’i re-energizes.

U.S. Rep. Colleen Hanabusa and U.S. Sen. Brian Schatz square off this year to fill the last two years of the six-year term of powerful political icon Daniel K. Inouye, who died in 2012.
Both are popular Democrats who have enjoyed the support of many of the same voters in the past. Most of the polls published this year describe this race as too close to call in the Aug. 9 primary election Honolulu Magazine
U.S. Rep. Colleen Hanabusa holds an edge over U.S. Sen. Brian Schatz in the Democratic primary for Senate, a new Hawaii Poll shows, and voters who prefer the congresswoman cite her legislative experience as the main reason.

Peter Greenberg ventures to the North Shore of the island of Oahu in Hawaii to the Turtle Bay Resort. There he explores the movement to maintain and preserve Hawaiian culture. We also learn about the mythology—and the cutting edge reality—of the big waves on the North Shore, told by some of legendary surfers like Tom Pohaku Stone and Marty Thomas. Plus, just for good measure, we talk to Danna Holck, the first female Hawaiian native general manager of a hotel. She talks about the importance of keeping Turtle Bay Resort's vaules aligned with traditional Hawaiian values.
This podcast is a must listen as Chris takes the reigns with Matt K. to provide the recaps of the Hawaii and Poinsettia Bowl. To this point the Mountain West bowl season has had a poor showing with just a 2-3 record.
The Hawaii Bowl saw Fresno State lose their sixth-straight bowl game and their third-straight blowout in a bowl game. Any progress that was seen in the last few weeks of the regular season was washed away. The Bulldogs played three quarterbacks, and zero looked good. Overall, the offense and defense looked bad.
The Poinsettia Bowl was at least a close game, but San Diego State was unable to get any touchdowns. The biggest play was the decision for Rocky Long to go for it on fourth down in the fourth quarter and leading 16-14. That back fired as the play failed and Navy ended up needing a field goal and not a touchdown to win the game.
BJ Rains, Idaho Press Tribune writer and weekly contributor to the show, joins the program to talk about a number of things regarding BSU football! We will chat about the Hawaii bowl, Coach Harsin and more! Also, we will recap Monday night football, NBA updates and top headlines of the day!

The main piece in this show was discussing how we are like performers/audience viewing a circus. Eventually we wake up to the fact that we are actually IN a circus, and realize there is a way out.
