Stacy Mitchart, Blues411 Report, Big Harp George & COUCH KID NEW MUSIC TAS CRU

    in Music

Stacy Mitchhart has always been a bandleader. He developed his sound and stagecraft at the helm of four groups in his hometown of Cincinnati — climbing the pinnacle of the city’s blues scene. “I heard Springsteen, Zeppelin and Pink Floyd, but that stuff never moved me,” he recounts. “When I saw Bobby ‘Blue’ Bland and B.B. King, I knew what I wanted to do." And that brings us to his 12th album, Live My Life.  I get to sit with Stacy and talk about his incredible journey in music and from Cincinnati to his current hometown, Nashville.

It's been two months since ChefJimi took his seat On The Couch and he will have a ton to discuss in his Blues411 Report, his anniverary, Daytona Blues Fest, the recently announced Blues Blast Award Winners and so much more...

Big Harp George is, in the real world, George Bisharat.  He is 59 years old and just released his debut album entitled Chromaticism.  You have to wonder where this man has been all this time and how he ended up recording his debut album at Kid Andersen's Greaseland Studio with such incredible musicians and what in the world has he been doing all these years?  We'll get you all those answers as we speak with george and share music from his album.

COUCH KID NEW MUSIC features Tas Cru returning to The Couch.  His initial visit was back in December of 2012 and he returns with some World Premiers from his about to be released album You Keep The Money.  The album is going to be some great new music from this "Master Of The Triple Entendre" and we are lucky to be able to share it with you prior to its release.

Endtime Restoration of The Harp in Worship and Intercession

    in Lifestyle

In these end-times, as God is restoring the Tabernacle of David (Amos 9, Acts 15:16-17) He is again calling for the renewing of the playing of the harp in intercession and worship around the world.

As a psalmist, Michael is not only a classically trained musician, but he also teaches from decades of contemporary music experience and passionate spiritual insight. His instruction emphasizes technical and theoretical aspects of improvisational music, as well as the release of the prophetic and the “Gifts of the Spirit”. Michael along with his wife Zsiporah (author/singer) are a Messianic couple who challenge artists to a higher level of spiritual and artistic integrity in their work as Directors of the KingsBridge Arts Round Table, a Christian Arts organization based in the Toronto area in Canada.

Psalm 33:2 Sing for joy in the LORD, O you righteous ones; Praise is becoming to the upright. 2Give thanks to the LORD with the lyre; Sing praises to Him with a harp of ten strings. 3Sing to Him a new song; Play skillfully with a shout of joy

    Dark Sayings Upon the Harp

    in The Bible

David's harp is without solution, or parallel.......fitful spirits seem ever to contend for mastery within its strings.......wailings of sorrow; groans of pain; shadows of doubt, despair, wonder, and fear; all show their face within its music.......enemies of the nation; enemies of the soul rage as if grace were driven away by the surges of passion and grief within.......and so these dark sayings upon the harp rise before Heaven, as the fist of rage in the face of chaos.......

Man himself, is a dark saying on a harp.......are not we who sing, a universe of being within ourselves, in whom life, nature, and grace combine to make the unique music of our own harps? Man's soul is engraved, as it were, with dark sayings.......chamber on chamber of imagery, covered in mists and hues, they are there; and they are within.......it does seem that we are, at times, possessed of a consciousness, that is more than experience.......it is the music, seeking to resolve the discord within, and express itself in a being of inextinguishable sorrow, separated from his only hope.......and when our harp whispers the music of light, the dark saying on its soul flies before the tone.

Stories Behind The Music- Stevie Ray Vaughn- Lost Rider's Biography Series

    in Music

Lost Rider's "legends of Rock" Biography Series of Famous Guitar Players and Bands continues with the Legendary, Stevie Ray Vaughn. Stevie Ray Vaughan, who died just 36 days short of his 36th birthday, played with blistering, note-bending intensity, a gut-wrenching vibrato and tons of soul. His all-too abbreviated legacy-five albums as a leader and a number of powerful sideman stints - ended with a long overdue collaboration with older brother Jimmie Lee Vaughan, on the posthumously released Family Style. A well-balanced mixture of driving rock and roll, smooth R&B, earthy funk and heartfelt blues, the album took SRV full circle, back to his South Dallas days, paying tribute to the music the Vaughan boys listened to and loved in the Sixties and Seventies.
