    ASH 2014 – Myeloma Updates with Dr. Parameswaran Hari

    We bring you myeloma updates from the upcoming 56th Annual ASH (American Society of Hematologists) Meeting and Exposition. Tune in to learn what was exciting and what looks promising in the field of hematology from our myeloma expert Dr. Hari and our panel  of myeloma survivors /advocates.  


    Dr. Parameswaran Hari is the Clinical Director of the Adult Bone Marrow Transplant Program and Associate Professor of Medicine, Division of Hematology and Oncology at the Medical College of Wisconsin. According to myelomasurvival.com, Dr. Hari has the best 2 and 3 year survival rates for myeloma patients. Myeloma patients under Dr. Hari's care at the Medical College of Wisconsin are 13 times more likely to survive 2 years and 7.2 times more likely to survive 3 years than in an average SEER facility. The SEER(Surveillance, Epidemiology and End Results) data from the National Cancer Institute provides survival data for many cancers including multiple myeloma.

    Well MET with Sree Sreenivasan

    Sree Sreenivasan is the Chief Digital Officer at The Metropolitan Museum of New York. He was previously an academic administrator and professor at Columbia Graduate school of Journalism before becoming overall chief digital officer of Columbia University.


    Born in Tokyo, Sree was raised in Manhattan, Bhutan, the former Soviet Union, Myanmar, and Fiji. He received his B.A. in history from St. Stephen’s College, Delhi, and subsequently earned a Master of Science degree in journalism from Columbia University.


    Sree joined the Met in August 2013 where he is is responsible for managing and producing digital content. On this show he will talk to MR about the scope of his work.


    He has been named as Poynter’s 35 social media influencers, Newsweek’s 20 most influential South Asians in America, Huff Posts 50 media people on Facebook Subscribe and has many more accolades.


    He appears on WCBS-TV to discuss technology trends and tips and has had over 40 published articles in the New York Times. He is also a co-founder, past president, and current board member of SAJA, the South Asian Journalists Association, comprising more than one thousand journalists of South Asian origin, based in the U.S. and Canada


    Sree lives in Manhattan with his wife and two children.
