Fresh Manna Sunday Devotional:Avoid Hardships by Following God's Instructions

    in Religion

FRESH MANNA OUR DAILY BREAD : SUNDAY MORNING DEVOTIONAL with Apostle Loretta Williams

Today’s Topic: The Story of Jonah

Sub Topic: Avoid Hardships by Following God’s Instructions

Discussion: Jonah was a prophet of God, and he knew the Creator’s voice.  God gave him specific instructions that he was to go to Ninevah a great city and speak against the wickedness that they were doing, but Jonah like so many Christians today didn’t want to take a stand against the wrong doings of the people so he fled from the presence of the Lord, like many of us have done when we don’t want to stand before God and give an account for our slothfulness, procrastination and disobedience.  The consequences of his actions were severe, God had to proved to Jonah that his obedience to Him in all things was a requirement of his worship and service unto God.

Scripture Text: Jonah1:6  So the shipmaster came to him, and said unto him, What meanest thou, O sleeper? arise, call upon thy God, if so be that God will think upon us, that we perish not.

    FIRE FILES

    in Hip Hop Music

By the beginning of Ronald Reagan?s two term tenure in 1981, Hip-Hop had already learned from an early age that the system was against it. Birthed in the Bronx, Hip-Hop?s home had witnessed a cross-town freeway pummel through half of its borough, and the other half go up in flames caused by faulty electric wiring and slum lords cashing in on insurance policies. Amongst the despair, Hip-Hop still managed to thrive on the musical expression of its DJ maestros, the acrobatic expression of its b-boy dancers, the visual expression of its graffiti writers, and the vocal expression of its crowd motivators. To any rapper?s delight, The Sugar Hill Gang released one of Hip-Hop?s first singles and propelled them to the spotlight. But the now that there was spotlight, they needed to shine it on a message.

Enter Grand Master Flash and the Furious Five. Over drums, bass, and an infamous synthesizer, the first man to call himself an MC, Grandmaster Mele Mel recited the ills of his community and hardships he faced living within it on “The Message”. Mele Mel was an instrumental part in the song being released as well as broadening the spectrum of Hip-Hop content and awareness. This was in 1982.

Twenty-five years later, Hip-Hop music has broken the borders of boroughs to reach as far as Britain and Brazil. The culture is now a billion dollar industry that caters to the senses: hearing the latest tracks while watching your favorite channel. Nowadays, a consumer is only a few clicks away from getting in touch with their favorite artist. But if Hip-Hop tastes so sweet, what stinks? Maybe it?s how that same industry leaves its pioneers to the side like Monday?s trash.

    THE YEHUDAH PROJECT

    in Culture

Our goal at the Yehudah Project is to establish open communication and build a bridge with love to combat the negative spirits that attempt to attack our men and women through hatred and division. We want to recognize and appreciate each other through love, support and accountability while taking responsibility for our behaviors and actions.

STOP the abusive dialog between our Hebrew men and our Hebrew women, because we are experiencing the same identical hardships today and we need to heal each other with love.

It is mandated by YHWH for us to come together and pray: we are a nation of people with dual nationalities and we have to open dialog as a nation to prepare ourselves and our families for the changes that are about to happen according to the Word. Children are won through the union of the man and the woman. Let’s remember our children learn what they live!

Newark New Jersey Native @ChaosDaRealest Speaks with @VickensMoscova

    in Hip Hop Music

Replacing swift left and right hooks for hooks in captivating compositions, Born 2 Win Entertainment Recording Artist “Chaos” who was born Jameel Laboo, is the next contender fully prepared to compete for Hip Hop distinction.  A proficient boxer, the New Jersey native used boxing as a stress reliever until he realized music enabled him to do the same thing and that it was his true calling.

Chaos began writing music as a way to just get his feelings out. But after hearing the late Tupac Shakur it became his dream. Growing up in Newark, New Jersey wasn’t easy. He was exposed to the many hardships of his rough, poverty stricken neighborhood.  His father was a drug addict which led his mother to take on the responsibility of being a father as well. His mother worked very hard to provide for her children but she wasn’t able to keep up with the mounting bills.Chaos decided to help his mother and took to the streets very young.

Newark is a city listed as one of the deadliest places in the world was his home. But he always used music as his get away from his reality. The neighborhood loved to hear him rap, so his hood fame grew fast. But unfortunately his criminal cases did as well. Chaos lost trial, and had his 1st child in the same year. As he sat in prison he knew he had to make a big decision. And upon his release that’s what he did. Go hard with his music and raise his daughter. Chaos came home on a bigger level than he was before he left.
