Thank you for listening to Happiness Index and we are continuing our conversation on hope and service. Hope is an optimistic attitude of mind based on an expectation of positive outcomes related to events and circumstances in one's life or the world at large. Vaclav Havel, former President of the Czech Rebubic said, Hope is definitely not the same thing as optimism. It is not the conviction that something will turn out well, but the certainty that something makes sense, regardless of how it turns out. We are convinced that everyone who gives of their time to serve others are deeply rooted in hope. Hope is an optimistic state of confidence and an anticipation that service is hope. It encourages to believe that your giving of yourself will make a difference. Hope is a cornerstone of volunteerism. Our focus today will be on the value of hope to inspire us to serve and how hope and service is a path to happiness. Thank you for listening to Happiness Index on Blog Talk Radio.
